⚠️❄️ eweather first call snow accumulation forecast for Sunday into Monday.
Expect changes as we get more clarity closer to the event. The biggest wildcard right now is how much mixing with sleet near south coastal areas. Timing is roughly 7am Sunday through the first half of Monday with the heaviest Sunday midday through evening. Snow lightens up Sunday overnight into Monday.
Stay tuned for updates.

@ben_a_goldfarb @TheWarOnCars @buttermilk1 Hey do you guys have a handy resource on whether it’s illegal to drive below the speed limit? I’m having a ridiculous FB conversation
English

For years, I've been hoping to hear these eight little words:
"Ben Goldfarb, welcome to... @TheWarOnCars."
Thanks to @buttermilk1 and the rest of the team for having me on the pod — truly a thrill!

@NutzMcfugz @Dr_Donegan Hello to you both, could I pick your brains again - do you know of any lawsuits people have brought against towns that didn’t have safe ways for peds/bicyclists to share road and they got hurt?
English

@LauraPallandre @Dr_Donegan Came across this today and thought it might be of use. It's not built yet but they have before and "after" renderings.

@zoeschlanger @TheAtlantic Congratulations! Are there any schools changing to ensure their kids are connected to nature, more unstructured time outside, in response to so many kids not rally engaged in fighting for their future.
English

I start at @TheAtlantic next week covering climate change. I'd love to know what kind of stories you'd like to read, and what questions you'd like to see answered.
English

@Dr_Donegan Thanks for amplifying the question! And yeah I've only been here 3 years and I've already seen people say they don't feel the need to be WeHa.
English

@Rpeters75 @Dr_Donegan Thanks, you submit pictures on twitter and it will send back the AI changes as a reply?
English

@Dr_Donegan Probably not exactly what you're looking for but this sit generates some great ideas and you can always submit pics. x.com/betterstreetsai

@davidalanwelch @Dr_Donegan @NutzMcfugz Thanks, I found some pictures that are a good start. Not much for bikes in what I see so far, is that right?
English

@TheWarOnCars Hi, can you help me find before and after pictures of car centric turning into multi-modal development? My ct suburb is talking about redeveloping decrepit mall.
English

@Dr_Donegan @NutzMcfugz Hello again, can I bug you guys for some help finding before and after pictures from car-centric to multi-modal development? Would like to shift conversation around redesigning Wintonbury Mall
English

@Dr_Donegan @NutzMcfugz Thanks - it’s been a long time since stats class though! Working on a bike bus for Bloomfield, hoping that spurs more attention to the whole system
English

@Eweather13 But lots of rain yes? My phone says over an inch and it’s been off by under predicting the last few rains
English

A gorgeous, cool morning out there.
Sunny with increasing high clouds later today from the SW. Highs in the mid 70s to around 80°, slightly cooler in the NW hill towns.
Showers develop across western areas around midnight & scattered showers spread east across much of SNE by morning. Lows range from the mid 50s in the NW hills to the mid 60s across Cape Cod and the islands. In between most won’t be far from 60° for the morning low temp.

@LauraPallandre I believe that page is just mayoral primaries. Bloomfield will for now be in this running blog. And @townnewsguy is covering with a full story. ctinsider.com/news/article/c…

You can follow primary election results from across the state, including Hartford, over on CTInsider. ctinsider.com/projects/2023/…
English

@LauraPallandre So this was created by the consultants that West Hartford hired to help complete their Vision Zero action plan. I'd guess Bloomfield would need to do something similar if they wanted to have this.
English

It appears West Hartford residents have THOUGHTS about roadway safety. The survey and interactive map remain open through Oct. 3. ctinsider.com/westhartford/a…
