We've come a long way since my little pharmacy of poetry pills under the awning of the Emergency Poet ambulance back in 2012. I'd give them away in those days at festivals, schools, libraries, conferences.

@Al_Humphreys Not all of us… some of us become performance poets in our 40s and run away to spend the night in creepy pubs and go straight up hills solo. The older I get the more I want to do the scary stuff.

As adults, we rarely learn fresh skills or dare ourselves to change direction. We urge our children to be bold risk-takers and encourage them to try things like learning musical instruments. But us grown-ups? We hide behind the way we’ve always done things. We become so boring!
