@TheNewsHughes Headline should read "Jordanians refused to let gardaí speak with suspect in custody" instead of "were not true muslims". Lies. Hanley is as bad as Debbie McCann - pushing the leftist angles to cover for a barbaric mindset. Started buying Daily Mail, but will NOT BUY IT AGAIN.

I don’t agree with this. Violence is not the answer. We are not violent people and you cannot blame the foreigners for coming here. Why wouldn’t they? They were enticed to come here by the Mafia in Leinster House using our money. I know a certain amount of it is rigged, but the blame lies solely with those who go out and vote for FG/FF/L/SF/SOC DEMS/PBP etc etc. You’re living among those who have welcomed this and using violence and aggression is exactly what the Mafia wants for their headlines.

@MichealMartinTD Let me see, you've ruled out offshore hubs for illegals, even though you've rammed through every other part of the EU Migration Pact, you don't want language tests for citizenship, and you refuse to detain unvetted border-breakers. You INVITE violence against us. 😒

The Irish fought for centuries for independence. They finally got it, only to turn around and hand their country over to migrants from the Middle East and Africa. The British suppressed the Irish language and culture, and now the Irish are doing it to themselves. Self-inflicted genocide. You can’t make it up. 🤦🏻‍♂️🇮🇪

@MichealMartinTD Your government and the media you pay handsomely to influence are, like Germany, enabling dangerous behavior from this incompatible, barbaric culture which is growing in numbers here. Blood is on your hands. You are a disgrace.

My thoughts and prayers go to the victims of the horrific attack on the Pride parade in Berlin last night. Hate or violence can never be tolerated. This attack goes against everything this celebration, and the EU stands for.

Islam has a problem with freedom, democracy, pork, dogs, music, Christmas, Zoroastrians, Hindus, Jews, Buddhists, Christians, women who do not wear the hijab, people who leave the faith, and even those who draw the Prophet of Islam who, according to widely recognised Islamic sources, was betrothed to Aisha when she was six. Yet if we say that we have a problem with Islam or choose to criticise it, we are immediately branded “Islamophobes” or “anti-Muslim”. Some even call for jihad or declare critics apostates, while others justify their killing. If an ideology claims the right to judge, restrict, condemn or even excommunicate everyone else, why should that ideology itself be exempt from criticism? Why should Islam be treated as a protected taboo? The fact that some Muslims respond to criticism with threats or attempts to silence others should never force us into self-censorship. Instead, it should reinforce the principle that no religion or ideology is above criticism in a free society. @elonmusk

@kenoflynnTD The 💔 part, is that most who were there celebrating would be pro-Palestinian, pro-diversity, 'refugees welcome' Germans. This is how they are thanked by those they staunchly defend on human rights grounds. 😢

Good piece here on why Ireland is ranked worst-in-Europe on personal taxes. The top German rate is 45%, but applies to income well over a quarter of a million euro. In Ireland, the government takes 48% on anything above €44,000, which was the average earnings in 2024 (latest CSO figures available). It moves to 52% at anything above $70,000, as the higher USC kicks in. For around 4 in 10 people, the government takes more of their overtime, extra work, bonuses and pay increases than they do.

The Irish government could at least slowdown the immigration crisis, but they refuse to use the options available to them. Instead they cosy up to their EU Masters as best boys in class.

@LarryPDonnelly The Jewish lobby do revenge really well. It would be catastrophic to trash our already very badly-managed economy for a cause we would never even be thanked for. These people hang prayer mats on church fences. They don't integrate, but let's destroy Ireland to show them we care.

Yes - and those of us who have expressed concerns about the OTB have been attacked and dismissed. I just hope that, because US public opinion has shifted so drastically, this new law will somehow fly under the radar. But I fear it won’t.
Dan O'Brien@danobrien20

It goes almost without saying that it is unusual for an embassy to publicly criticise news laws in host countries. But hardly surprising that the US embassy has done so. What is surprising is that Irish politicians have passed a law that could be so damaging to their own voters. Some quotes from a recent column on the the civil service's analysis of the then bill, now law.

Everything starts to make perfect sense when you understand that the societal collapse unfolding before your eyes—through mass migration, rising crime, two-tiered policing, Net Zero policies, deindustrialisation, soaring living costs, collapsing public services, declining birth rates, and everything else—is not the result of "incompetence", but the very intentional controlled demolition of Western civilisation.

Father Larry Holland, a Catholic priest in Canada, was offered euthanasia twice after being hospitalized with a broken hip. He was not terminally ill. Despite knowing that he was a priest and opposed to euthanasia, hospital staff suggested ending his life. Today it’s “voluntary“ euthanasia. Tomorrow, forced. We must stop both.
