@SamanthaJooste @edujdw I did mine in 1978 (O Levels) as you say there were the same pressures. We survived - they will survive.

@edujdw Is it the adult (parent) pressure you are talking about? Or are you saying that we never had the same pressure, as I distinctly remember huge pressure back in 1984 when I wrote my final set of exams.

With a grandaughter sitting GCSEs, I wonder why we have to reduce good students to tears and immense stress that many adults would reject? The expectations are immense across EVERY subject. It's 'perform' or you're a failure. Why do we do this to children?
