@rohan_connolly A quick straw poll at the footy club on Wednesday, consisting of juniors, was a strong endorsement of the current daytime slot. The reason? A night time GF makes it tougher for younger kids to stay up and watch.

You got even a scintilla of evidence to back up that rather sweeping claim, buddy boy? Because I’m reasonably confident you don’t. 😂
Ash@ashleymlittle25

@ESPNAusNZ @rohan_connolly No you meant to say “Victorian fans want it during day time” Rest of the country doesn’t care and would in fact prefer twilight or night GF

Nobody should ever forget this awful day, nor the tirelessness of Rosie Batty's work subsequently to keep domestic violence at the forefront of national conversation. She is a genuine hero. RIP Luke.
Sherele Moody (Femicide Researcher) 🌈@ShereleMoody

Luke Batty was murdered 12 years ago today. On February 12, 2014, the 11-year-old was practicing at the nets in Tyabb, Victoria, when his father attacked him. His mum Rosie Batty was nearby. Police shot Luke's father and he died in hospital. The morning after Luke was murdered, Rosie faced the media throng telling them domestic violence is present across all Australian communities. Her bravery in that moment kick-started her campaign to end domestic violence in Australia. She was named Australian of the Year and has been at the forefront of conversations around violence for the past 12 years. Rosie faced unrelenting attacks for her advocacy, mainly from men's rights activists who did everything they could to tear her down. Even to this day, there are powerful prominent men and women who spread lies about her. Today, as she has done for the past 12 years, Rosie will light a candle for her son. ❤️ABOUT MY WORK❤️ I document all Australian women & children lost to murder, manslaughter, neglect and other unlawful acts regardless of perpetrator gender or relationship to the victim. This means not all women and children killed are lost to domestic violence. They are also killed by people known to them (ie friends) or by strangers. My work includes Australians killed overseas. Every death is documented at AustralianFemicideWatch.org/database (link in bio)

@Brucey_D Also amazing how you don’t need actual facts anymore, for an argument. Once the media and politicians started doing it, it’s opened a can of worms. Never argue with idiots, Deb. They don’t use logic or facts, so you can never win. I hope you are well mate!

Don’t you just love a gutless flog who comments on your post but then blocks you so you can’t respond. It staggers me how many people side with Is-not-real regardless of the evidence. Just pure racism flowing through their veins!

Aboriginal football/netball/rugby league/any sport carnivals are far more than just the game. Yes, there is the chance of injury and they are very competitive, but the connection with family and community & the positive spirit it brings, outweighs this. Could be a great for JUH.
Jules🖤💛❤@julsie75

It's actually a good thing @kanecornes. The carnival is a safe space for Jamarra while being surrounded by mob. Some reflection on your part would be lovely. There's a bigger picture here.
