I wasn't trying to build a startup. I was just trying to deploy a contact form without losing my mind. Hi, I'm David Adeyemi. A developer and founder. Every client project ended the same way. Tried Dokploy too and had similar feelings. If you want something that handles the reverse proxy automatically without touching config files, Symplax might be worth a look. @aed_sh_ @coolifyio Looks similar to it. One thing Coolify is lacking that I miss when I migrated off of Vercel is rich logging. I still haven’t been able to nail it with my self hosted setup. Hopefully @openshipio has something on par … if not better.

This is genuinely impressive. The feature list is wild. The one tradeoff with self-hosted platforms like this: you're still the one maintaining the tool that manages your tools. Updates, bugs, downtime. That's on you. Built @symplaxhq for exactly that gap. Same 'your own server' philosophy, but Symplax is fully managed so you never have to think about the headaches that come with self-hosting itself. Rooting for the self-hosting movement regardless. 💪

Free tiers are not free. They are customer acquisition funnels with an expiry date. Supabase pauses your project after inactivity. PlanetScale killed their free tier overnight. Heroku removed free hosting entirely. Always have an exit plan.

I used to SSH into my server just to check if it was still alive. CPU spiking? No idea until something broke.  Memory full? Found out when the app crashed.  Disk space? Only checked it when uploads started failing. Now I just open Symplax and it's all there.
