Absolutely shocking passport control delays at @LeShuttle in Calais coming home. For some reason only one lane open meaning queue took forever. As a result we will miss our train even though we were here considerably more than an hour before.

I have had to contact @LeShuttle several times by phone recently & I feel I should say they have been impeccable. No complex phone menus, no long lists of ritual questions, and staff who actually listen to what you say & are pleasant about it. If only it was the same everywhere!

@LeShuttle I used to accept a small delay as it used to be a rare event but it’s every single time now. UK to France was 1.5hr delay on Sept 4 and right now France to UK has been pushed back from 13:46 to 14:16. Do you just cancel trains when it’s not busy?

@LeShuttle what the HELL is going on in Calais? Over 30 minutes sat in a queue for English passport control with racehorses on board and only moved 2 car lengths. Every Tom, Dick, Harry and motor home in the priority lane. NOT GOOD ENOUGH YET AGAIN. Can someone come sort it. NOW
