He didn’t fire her for racially profiling Latinos, African-Americans, Arab Americans and Asian Americans. He didn’t fire her because she was arresting legal permanent residents and US citizens and detaining them illegally. Sorry but awfully superficial take. Leaving aside the fact that Ethan revived a dying franchise, he might be the only protagonist EVER in RE who had a starting and ending character arc. He was shown, his story was told, he did what he did, and he left. It's a beautiful thing in a franchise where no one ever retires because they are always meant to the sell the next game. You can love or hate his story, that's subjective (I loved it), but to call him forgettable makes it look like you're only after cool one-liners and repetitive plots.
