Octopuses are highly intelligent animals with 9(!) distributed brains. But they never evolved into a dominant species primarily because they are born orphans and don't recieve any knowledge from family. The father dies after mating and the mother dies after the eggs hatch.

BOMBSHELL CONFIRMED: The Supreme Court corruption scandal that was lingering from a year ago? We can now call it CONFIRMED today. Chief Justice John Roberts' wife pocketed $10.3 million recruiting for law firms with cases before his court. He illegally labeled it "salary" instead of commission on disclosure forms. Justice Clarence Thomas took $500,000+ luxury yacht trips, $133,000 real estate deals, and decades of private jet vacations from billionaire Harlan Crow—all hidden from the public. Justice Neil Gorsuch sold a $1.8 million property to the CEO of Greenberg Traurig—a law firm with 22 cases before the Court—just nine days after his confirmation. He left the buyer's name BLANK on his disclosure forms. Republicans: "The Supreme Court is impartial!" The Supreme Court: a billionaire-funded cash register. Three justices. Three scandals. Tens of millions in hidden money and favors. This isn't a court. It's a corruption convention with robes. Tell me again why we should trust these people with our rights?

@oloafks @ZarkTweets No, he won’t. He has had the very best nutrition and training for his entire prep career. He was literally raised by an NBA player. He’s not going to “make a leap”. He’s going to be a solid-to-good pro but not a special player or a 1st option.

@ZarkTweets The amount of people saying his ceiling is lower is insane to me. The dude is a year younger than the other 4. He can lose weight. He can work on his athletic abilities, also he doesn’t need to be crazy athletic if his 3 goes down like it does. Dude will be ROTY.

@realLatifLove @LeanerGreen They are the same size. Made a similar amount of 3s. Aren’t elite defenders. Make clutch shots. Have emotionless faces. The comparison is real.

@realLatifLove @sadler_nathan You miss the forest for the trees. Common in this era. DA shot better in-game. DL has better shooting analytics. They remain: slightly undersized combo guards who shoot well from deep and can finish at the rim.

Damian Lillard shot 8.5 points per 100 possessions in 2009 and posted a 3PAR of 47.2. That's extremely high volume, and higher than the era they each played in. He also shot 84.2% from the free-throw line. Long story short, 3P volume and FT% are stronger indicators of future 3P success than pure % I'd also add that playing for more years and increasing your volume and difficulty don't necessarily mean you're a better shooting prospect than another player. Dame doing what he did for multiple years is part of the reason why he's one of the best pull-up shooting prospects in however long.

@realLatifLove Le sigh. This isn’t a video game. No one is an exact clone. His size, shooting, speed and style are all very similar to Dame at the same age. There’s some DWade and Starbury in there, but Acuff shoots much better (and deeper) than them. Dame is the closest parallel.

@MarkG_Medina That’s cute, and technically true. Ja has made the same mistake about 14 times. There are the known stories…and then there are the ones kept in-building/in-market. Same pattern. Over and over.

@BillyReinhardt Tanked hard to get Duncan. Tanked much harder to get Wemby - who played for Tony Parker in France. Presti learned well in SAS and evolved the model in OKC. You’re trying to spot differences in the Spider-Man meme. These organizations mirror each other.

The words "Gaza" and "genocide" appear precisely zero times in the DNC autopsy. Turning a blind eye to crimes against humanity was a grave injustice, and a terrible election strategy.

Frantz Fanon warned that African liberation is not just about ending foreign rule. He warned that local elites can continue the same exploitation from inside the state, so real freedom requires changing both external and internal power structures.

AOC: I think it’s pretty unbelievable that Gaza would not be mentioned once in the autopsy report. I think it was very clearly a major dynamic and a major thread that was happening in 2024. The fact that it’s not even addressed, I think, is a major oversight. And I think that for young people, it was a huge part of the environment. I can tell you for myself as a candidate during that cycle, there’s no way that it was an ignorable issue or totally immaterial. So I think that it’s a real disservice to not speak to that or include or assess that.
