@pbanavara @sriramk I have a Pilot 823. I've never had a hard start writing with it. And in any case, an aide can ink and test pens before handing them over for a signing. I personally would not be pleased to be handed a Sharpie marker as a Presidential souvenir.

I don't understand why the Prez doesn't use a fountain pen. A Sharpie is undignified for such important docs. Several companies, such as Franklin-Christoph and Edison Pen Co., make fountain pens in the US for about $150/ pen. Not an unreasonable expense for a man in a gold room.

The American Experiment and Technology I spent a lot of the day yesterday at Hill and Valley and as always a spectacular event put on by @jacobhelberg @zebulgar and @CGarrett_15. The last year of serving in this role has left me with a profound appreciation for what the “American Experiment” is. And a big part of it is great things are possible when we can get everyone involved in making things better ( and not just government). Yesterday was a big reminder of that. What struck me was how everyone seemed so optimistic and energized by the prospects for what can be built and tackling large problems together - be it the AI race or AI’s impact on the economy or making sure our war fighters have the best technology or any number of important errors. So many were doing impressive work - be it building companies big and small, academic research, working on policy, financing efforts or any number of other means. I came away so energized that we can tackle some of these issues together for America. Shout to @aarthir for photos below.

VC’s will tell you that they are out here looking for the winners… yah they are! So they can price 98% of them in as losers. The VC model is broken. Prove me wrong… I think many PE firms and endowments would agree. That’s just what I see when I look at the data.
