NEW VIDEO: Families of Lebanese Prisoners Speak, Call for Global Support In January 2026, the Mahmoud Farajallah Delegation (named for a Palestinian detainee in Belgium martyred in immigration detention) traveled from Belgium to Lebanon, where it visited with community, social and political organizations, visited South Lebanon and the Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, and met with the families of Lebanese prisoners held captive in Zionist jails. This video features several of the families of the prisoners, including the families of Hussein Karaki, Waddah Younes, Ali Assaf, Ali Tarhini, Hussein Sharif, Mohammed Jheir and others, calling on the people of the world to speak up and act to free their loved ones. There are at least 30 Lebanese prisoners inside occupation jails, and dozens more whose status is unconfirmed and who remain missing in action. The Zionist occupation frequently refuses to acknowledge that it is even holding the Lebanese captives, and denies access to the International Committee of the Red Cross and lawyers' visits. Many of the Lebanese prisoners are held in the notorious underground "Rakevet" section of Ramle prison. They are held alongside over 9,600 Palestinian prisoners. We urge all to escalate campaigns and actions to secure their freedom. We also urge you to share this video and other materials; screen it in your events, and distribute it widely, to highlight the story of the Lebanese prisoners who are facing the same genocidal entity behind bars that the Lebanese and Palestinian people are facing daily through its bombings and attacks on the Gaza Strip and the South of Lebanon.

Sami Imad Saab is married with a two-month-old daughter. On April 4, at 3:00 a.m., an Israeli force infiltrated the area of Nabaa al-Jawz in the town of Shebaa (Hasbaya district) and abducted Sami Saab, a resident of the town, before withdrawing toward the occupied territories. According to testimonies collected by The Legal Agenda, Sami works as a shepherd and owns a small dairy and cheese workshop, and does not belong to any political or military organization. Sami also has a daughter who was two months old at the time of his abduction. Free Sami Saab and all Lebanese and Palestinian prisoners in Zionist jails!

Shadi Karami Abdel-'Al, 35, is married with three children. On the night of March 24, 2026, an Israeli force penetrated the Halta farm in the Kfar Shuba municipality in the Arqoub area, and kidnapped Abdel-'Al. As the occupation forces withdrew, they opened fire on people who came to the scene, which led to the martyrdom of Mohamed Abdel-'Al and the injury of Ashraf Al-Qadiri with a bullet in the pelvis. Legal Agenda reported that the following day, the Israeli army admitted to carrying out the operation inside Lebanese territory, claiming that they had abducted a man involved with the Resistance, and that elements of the “Igoz” unit, under the command of the 210th Division, carried out the operation. However, this statement did not contain Abdel-'Al's name, his place of detention, or any information that would allow his family to verify his condition. Free Shadi Abdel-'Al and all Lebanese and Palestinian prisoners in Zionist jails!

These beautiful faces were killed by Israel in Lebanon today. The brutal attacks in southern Lebanon have led to 35 martyrs and more than 60 wounded since dawn today. @mb_ghalibaf @araghchi the MoU agreement is being violated in broad daylight, are you going to do something about it?

Spokesman for Hamas's Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida: • "We salute the efforts of Hezbollah fighters, who have inflicted heavy losses on the Zionist enemy and continue to do so, as part of the heroic resistance to the aggression against Lebanon, its people, and its sovereignty. This is a right and a duty guaranteed by all laws and norms." • "The enemy is trying, through the continuation of its crimes and occupation, to compensate for its failure in various arenas. It is also striving to separate the fronts of the resistance, but it is trying in vain; for more than two and a half years it has reaped nothing but disappointment and defeat."

Atwi Mohammed Atwi, the official of the Islamic Group in Hasbaya and Marjayoun, southern Lebanon, was abducted from his home in the village of Al-Hebbariyeh in the early morning hours of Monday, February 9, 2026. Around 4:00 am, Zionist forces invaded Al-Hebbariyeh -- of which Atwi Atwi formerly served as mayor -- which sits at least 4 kilometers from the border with occupied Palestine. According to reports, the invading "Israeli" force reached the house on foot through olive groves and stormed it while Atwi and his wife were inside. Five Zionist soldiers entered the house, one of them masked, and assaulted both of them. The wife was then taken to the kitchen, handcuffed and blindfolded. The force later withdrew through the olive grove, leaving behind a large stretcher. Witnesses from the town reported that three military jeeps were seen leaving the center of the town toward Jabal al-Saddaneh via a paved road running through wooded areas. Atwi Atwi is a prominent community leader, and a leader of the Islamic Group, which the United States designated as a so-called "foreign terrorist organization" on January 13, 2026, seemingly providing the Zionists with a "green light" for just such an attack and invasion and underlining the ongoing U.S. role and complicity in the attacks on Lebanon, including repeated assassinations, bombings, drone strikes and abductions. Indeed, the Zionist military and security agencies have since boasted of their "accomplishment" of abducting a political figure from his village in the middle of the night while the resistance has continued to uphold its commitment to the ceasefire of November 2024. There are now more Lebanese prisoners abducted after the ceasefire than prior to it, with at least 21 Lebanese imprisoned in Zionist jails since 2024, with three additional historic figures who have been the subject of enforced disappearance by the Zionist regime for decades.
