It takes more than just one person to make things happen! I was not part of the “Uniteam” campaign but I guess the unity President Marcos promised was never about the Duterte-Marcos alliance. Looking at how things are right now, the unity in place is so much better! It is different people willing to work together to be in service and towards the shared goal of Bagong Pilipinas. President Marcos was delighted to see over 50 congressmen present during the Presidential Assistance to Farmers, Fisherfolk, and Families in Cagayan De Oro yesterday! If I am being honest, in my years of following politics I have never seen the lower house as active as the 19th congress. Luckily, the President’s most dependable ally is the Speaker of the House. Why is this important? It takes more than just the executive to bring the government services closer to people! And the Marcos Administration is smart enough to know that! It is the whole government and whole nation approach!  In fact! The First Lady tapped the private sector for Lab for All! Cagayan De Oro was one of the provinces deeply affected by El Niño, it is evident as soon as you land, as the grass dried up because of extreme heat more so their crops. Personally seeing and talking to the beneficiaries, how the aid will help them recover… It is comforting to know that we are heading in the right direction! With the palace, respective government agencies offering hundreds of gov’t services/ assistance, the House of Representatives and the local government working together? The gov’t reached at least 30,000 beneficiaries in Cagayan De Oro.

A Statesman President, indeed! @bongbongmarcos After the six long years of the Duterte Administration, decency and statesmanship are two things I will never take for granted ever again. I sincerely appreciate the return of dignity in that office -not just the President himself but also the first family. I came across an interview of the President with an Australian news channel and that one is difficult to say the least. The reality is no one can control or anticipate what the media would ask or how they would behave… the only thing we can hope for is to have a leader representing our country who can carry himself in any situation. Although I wish Sara Ferguson focused more on the reforms and accomplishments of the current administration, at the very least the President was given an opportunity to show his brilliance in a very uncomfortable line of questioning. Two things I want to highlight here are the ff: 1. “We have territorial conflicts with other countries, Malaysia for example and Vietnam but we've come to an arrangement with them to resolve any such conflicts peacefully” -President Marcos The hard questions of Sara Ferguson connected to China and the situation in the South China Sea gave the President an opportunity to highlight the efforts of his administration to resolve the issues peacefully. From proposing to have a direct line of communication with China up to building relationships with other countries including Australia to maintain the peace within the region. 2. “An addict, you take them to the hospital, you take them to rehab” One of the things that I strongly agree with this administration is its different take on war on drugs. The president was able to distinguish himself from his predecessor. —------------------ Personally, I do not like the line and manner of questioning here but at least the President handled it well. @div_thought @CollinRugg I bet that judge would feel and sentence that criminal if it happens to his family members. Government officials will only do something if it happens to them or any if their family members.

@CollinRugg The Alo woman received an incredibly lenient sentence, considering the viciousness of her crimes. This judge thinks people with mental illness deserve shorter sentences. Apparently, he is not concerned with public safety.

NEW: The same judge who will be sentencing Brendan Depa, the 270lb teen who beat his teacher unconscious, went easy with sentencing on a different teen beating last week. Depa is currently facing 30 years in prison. Judge Terrence Perkins sentenced 18 year old Gabriella Alo to six years in prison after her and her brother filmed themselves beating a teen and then running over someone trying to help in a car, breaking their legs. Prosecutors recommended 15 years in prison but Judge Perkins sentenced Alo to 6 years. Similarly to Depa, Alo's lawyers claimed she suffers from mental problems which the judge appeared to take into consideration.
