during today's morning coffee, cat realized how the latest league update, introduces plates where you earn a bit of gold on each chunk of turret's hp not much changes for in game economy, but is fascinating from a behavioral science perspective of current dopamine economy

yea, but it's usually pretty efficient in repricing back to parity. A perp keeps its parity using a combination of 3 metrics, Index price + mark price + funding rate (not exactly sure on the specifics) what usually happens If/when it decouples: 1) it gets arbed 2) funding goes crazy so people/algos "farm" it, slowly bringing it back to parity with the underlying asset. The more it decouples the more profitable it is to do these things so it (usually) goes back (close) to 1:1 quickly
