DEAD PEOPLE. FAKE IDENTITIES. UNAUTHORIZED ENROLLMENTS. $27 BILLION. Obamacare fraud didn’t slip through the cracks, the cracks were the entire system. Shut down the scam. Recover the money. Prosecute the fraudsters.
Eric Daugherty@EricLDaugh

🚨 HOLY CRAP!! $27 BILLION in Obamacare fraud has been exposed, and now a new bombshell report confirms a "lack of basic safeguards" allowing DECEASED PEOPLE and other scammers to steal taxpayer funds Obamacare is one big racket. SHUT IT DOWN! "MILLIONS" of fraudsters are being purged from the rolls by the Trump administration "This investigation found as many as 160,000 people using the program legitimately had their accounts accessed and changed without their permission." "One House committee estimates around $27 billion in improper payments are going to people taking advantage of this system." "Now for months, the Government Accountability Office has been investigating fraud in the Obamacare marketplace." "It found that a lack of basic safeguards allows bad actors to use fake identities, other people's social security numbers and even dead people to receive subsidies." 🤯 "The House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman blames the previous administration and sent us a statement saying the Biden-Harris administration actively removed safeguards protecting Americans from unscrupulous actors, taking advantage of them, including unauthorized enrolments and switching Obamacare plans."

Lawmakers approved a new state budget that spends $50.3 billion in money from the state’s taxes and fees. This is a 3.8% increase from the budget passed last year and this year’s increase is above sustainable levels. Learn more: mackinac.org/blog/2026/budg…

Last week, Trump REFUSED to sign affordable housing legislation, calling it “so unimportant.” Today, I signed a bill to cut housing costs by up to $60,000 per home, expand homeownership, and build more affordable housing. It’s called governing, Mr. President. Maybe try it.

An Oakland County law enforcement officer reported in 2024 that Michigan’s Bridge Card system had been hacked. The report, which Michigan Capitol Confidential obtained through a records request, was included in the county’s investigation of food-stamp theft reported by a 66-year-old resident. michigancapitolconfidential.com/news/michigans…

@Ledhedd2 @DeadlineDetroit When they do something to one of their targets that’s wrong, unethical or criminal it’s an innocent mistake. No consequences. Probably even a job promotion.

This is one of the best threads I have ever seen posted in terms of accurately capturing the realities of opioid policy over the last two decades from a patient viewpoint. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 All that I would add is that there were bad-faith, anti-opioid actors who capitalized on evolving pain care policy to line their pockets with expert witness and legal fees from MDL settlements.

Pain patients weren’t abandoned by accident. It wasn’t a misunderstanding. It wasn’t a medical evolution. It was a political decision shaped by fear, optics, liability, and moral panic. Here's why pain patients were politically abandoned. 🧵

BREAKING 🚨🚨🚨: The Governor of New Mexico has called for a criminal investigation into the DEA for allowing "staggering amounts" of illicit fentanyl to "hit the streets" of Albuquerque (see abcnews.com/Health/wireSto…). Under the Westfall Act (The Federal Employees Liability Reform and Tort Compensation Act or FELRTCA of 1988, a DEA claim of sovereign immunity could be eroded if 1) "a federal statute, regulation, or policy specifically prescribe[d] a course of action for an employee to follow, and the government employee deviates from this course" or 2) whether the federal agents' "judgment is of the kind that the discretionary function exception was designed to shield," meaning that a DEA agent could be liable if he/she failed to protect an injured party from the foreseeable consequences of an exposure to illicit fentanyl. Staggering amounts of fentanyl hit streets as the DEA watched and took no action, records show apnews.com/article/dea-fe…

This. While Detroit DEI federal prosecutor Brandy McMillion actually accused an elderly retired Detroit public schools @DetroitK12 teacher/administrator of diverting Dilaudid illegally on the while on the witness stand because AUSA Brandy McMillion didn’t understand opioid metabolism or how to correctly interpret a urine drug test during U.S. vs. Bothra.
