@PhillipCoorey So all the people that benefited, don’t lose their benefits. But the aspirational, can’t benefit like older generations. Sounds like a good fix. How about lower income tax and increase wealth tax

@OBE5555555 @PhillipCoorey Can you explain? I see a lot of people complaining that their IP will be worthless, and may sell up. Lots of houses for sale seems like it would drop property prices

@PhillipCoorey If you don't sell, you don't pay a cent. And that's exactly what will happen. People will draw down the equity built up, and use it for whatever purpose they want instead of selling and going through all the rules and complexity.

@PhillipCoorey @StreetNewsAU This is the worst idea yet because your tax bill gets higher and higher as time goes on even though the asset may remain flat or even lose value!!!

@JaneCaro Why don’t you place any blame on our previous governments for not making us energy independent? This is just weak to blame him for the lack of action they’ve chosen not to do on behalf of the Australian people. Then again, we are talking about you.

@SandyXiaotong EVs aren't for the rich. They cost almost the same as petrol cars. However, there is no way i could afford a ranger

@philbo6789 No, actually. Statistics reveal huge numbers of companies collapsing even though they were steady and profitable for decades. That's a failed policy - not a failed business. There's only so much margin to eat into before it's cheaper to close the doors.

Congratulations Labor government. Penalty rates are now so high (Chalmers calls this 'fair') that most places close their doors - or the owners take the shift. The lesson here is that if you push penalty rates too high - NO ONE gets them. And even if the government tries to mandate businesses into keeping regular rosters - those businesses will collapse. Socialists think you can FORCE economic outcomes with regulation. Instead of realising the market REWARDS good economic practices. Successful businesses pay more for labour. Businesses suffocating under the weight of government taxes and failed policy don't pay anything at all.

@ellymelly @Mholdzz If the full timers are complaining, then why didn't you give them the shift? They are cheaper than the casuals

@Mholdzz That's exactly what retail staff were starting to say. It was brought in originally for those who worked additional to a normal week. Then it was softly exploited by part-time workers. Now it is so far out of scale that normal workers are jealous and rightfully so.

@NoddyWalker Except these are not being paid to the regular workers. They're almost always paid to part time workers who work one or two shifts a week.

Road going past our place usually absolutely flat out at Easter. Quiet as a mouse this year. Would not have been a problem if we had strategic fuel reserves for a decent amount of time (300 days) on Australian shores!!

@JimThom90458694 @beges007 Just by a diesel powered vehicle dum arse. Must have been told by Bowen that a trip across the Nullarbor is all good, we’ve got it covered, Labor has everything under control !! That’s exactly why we’re all fucked !!

The charging station generator probably ran out of diesel🤣🤓 An Australian man has been left stranded in the middle of the Nullarbor after multiple electric vehicle charging stations failed. Jac has been documenting his journey in his Tesla from Sydney to Perth, a journey he says quickly turned into a “bit of a gamble” as key charging sites went offline across remote Western Australia. He claimed several charging stations along the Eyre Highway, including sites at Madura, Balladonia, and Norseman, were offline, leaving him scrambling for power in one of the country’s most isolated regions.

@JimThom90458694 So let me get this straight, you need petrol to run the EV charging stations to charge your electric vehicle, how about cutting the middle man and just get a car that runs on petrol, faster and less hassle. 🤔

@Batman2242 Most people don't care where the power comes from. It's still cheaper to charge off a diesel genny than it is to put gas in your tank. Who gives af where the power comes from as long as it's cheaper

@GreenTyler27 You picked the most expensive coffee, which is shade grown organically and hand picked. The price of this coffee goes up when the input costs go up. Home brand coffee is still an iption

This coffee was $8 in 2019. Now it’s pushing $16. That’s not “normal inflation.” That’s a weaker dollar, higher energy costs, broken supply chains and policy failure all hitting your grocery bill at the same time. You don’t need a chart, you can see how bad our government is every time you visit Coles.

@Peter_Fitz They would like to add the gross income of married/defacto couples and divide the gross total earnings between them. My wife makes 30K after looking after my children and I push the higher brackets of taxable income. This policy alone will help cost of living.
