I hate Arsenal, irrationally, as I explained at weekend. But my argument over VAR with them and West Ham was largely goal was given, and about 20 Arsenal fouls in box were ignored at same time. And that's me being irrational. In Scotland, I get desperation for Hearts to win. In on it. But that Motherwell handball against Celtic is not only clearest you'll see, but also involved another foul in same action, as in elbowing a guy in head. The reaction is mental. What do people want VAR to do here 😂😂😂

Refs are mostly Lanarkshire. SFA is based in Glasgow. Only two teams are allowed to win the league. After Fergie, the establishment got better at preserving the status quo.

This is real and this is the last word we’ll say on it. Handball. Very brave call from the VAR and referee under huge pressure. These are the calls we want referees to be taking, this is the purpose of VAR. Others would rather play with narratives. Case closed.

As someone who grew up (aged six-twelve) a Rangers fan, desperate for Hearts to win the league, there's nothing controversial about VAR giving Celtic a penalty for this. It's a penalty.

Well that's a penalty that not only defies physics but unnatural hand must be driven by the player's OWN movement IFAB 12. It's literally driven by the movement of the Celtic player. Another classic SFA screw up. Glasgow is the home of the SFA in so many ways.

@EwanMacKenna @AodhMorONeill I would argue that the Celtic player’s shoulder is preventing the Motherwell player from withdrawing his hand. As they come together the Motherwell player can’t lower his arm because the Celtic player’s shoulder is holding it in an unnatural position. It’s not a penalty.
