Frimpong can play as a right back and right winger and be equally ineffective in both

@B03GHB4L1 Why did they sign TWO top 9s in the first place? Wh did they spend 150M€ on a 10 while they already had a WC 10 at the Club? So many questions

I don’t know how aggressive Liverpool want to be in the summer but there are so many head scratchers with their squad. Uncomfortable situations that don’t make sense. - No starting level GK if Alisson leaves - Basically no starting level right back - No real competition for VVD and Konate - Midfield has no balance - Wirtz is a joke - No RWs at all after Salah leaves + Frimpong is just depth there - Best LW is 17 years old - Two expensive top level strikers who expect to play Tough decisions coming up

@Mr_Derivatives As someone that only watches soccer but started following the NHL after Olympia you are Spot on. The commericial breaks are crazy in the NHL.

I don't really watch much Futbol (aka soccer to us Americans). But the more I watch it, the more I like it. One of the main reasons is that it's continuous action without any breaks or commercial interruptions. Once you realize that, it's hard to unsee the countless commercials and breaks in between NBA, MLB, NFL, etc... Am I right or am I right?!

Ignoring the nice views surrounding the stadium, this is another aspect where Italy is so far behind other top leagues. The sheer amount of disgusting stadiums in their first division is crazy.

Mikel Arteta asked if Premier League teams were capable of producing such an exciting game as PSG vs Bayern: "Well, there is something that when I look at that game, Bayern v PSG is probably the best game I have ever witnessed on the quality of two teams, and especially the individual quality that the players deliver. I’ve never seen something like this. But when I look at the amount of minutes and the freshness of those players, then I’m not surprised. To deliver those moments of quality, you have to be very fresh and the difference in the leagues and the way they’re competing is night and day.  “And you just have to see a lot of stats that have been recently around it. So we are competing in two different worlds, so you cannot compare one part of that without giving any context to the other. I don’t think it’s fair." I think I’ve fully come around to soccer. If I could change once thing, it wouldn’t be making the goal bigger or anything like that. But just if it’s a tie game, rather than going to penalty kicks, the winner should be whichever team had the higher Attack Momentum implied score.

@13Hnrga @JoanVaz04500631 I’d prefer the PL to be more like the other leagues, but the reality is it’s significantly harder to play at that intensity at this stage of the season, you’re more likely to have injuries etc

@Lee__1407 @TBLCFC Lmao a club that could afford to spent 95m on kane and are currently outspending Arsenal on wage bill is saying they can't compete w top 10 pl clubs, funny. You can continue to argue w a wall btw as i'm not interested talking to a racist prick like you, fuck you.

@rutdi_santoso @TBLCFC Interesting view coming from someone living in Indonesia. I suppose you watch a lot of Championship & Bulli matches? Bayern can in fact not spend anything close to what the top 10 PL Clubs can spend (just Look at the net spend over the past 3-5 years if you dont believe me)

@Lee__1407 @TBLCFC That's not entirely true tho, they still can spend as big as pl big 6 clubs bar city or chelsea. And the point is Bayern could be more easy on rotating their players coz half the bundesliga is on champhionship lv. Meanwhile pl clubs need to face mid cl team every week lol.

@CFCMJordan I think this will only get "worse" going forward. It will get to a point where elite players/talents will have to decide between playing in the PL or playing for a big Club in a inferior League with great CL prospects.

Because producing that level of entertainment requires two things: 1) Two teams willing to aggressively chase possession. 2) An extreme level of energy and durability. The Premier League is so strong that even being slightly off it will cost you points. Teams expected to finish mid-to-lower table are constantly at risk of being dragged into a relegation fight. Just look at Tottenham — 17th last season and flirting with relegation again. The financial gap is so extreme that simply staying in the league is worth a fortune. As a result, most of these teams minimise risk. They build around physicality and size, sit deep, protect the box, and rely on transitions and set-pieces. At the same time, the overall level of the league means there’s almost no margin to rotate. Even relegation-threatened sides are signing players for fees that would be record signings for top clubs in other leagues. There are no easy games. So top teams are forced to play their strongest line-ups constantly — because resting players carries a real risk of dropping points. In conclusion: The relegation risk is so high — and the money at stake so massive — that clubs will actively eliminate risk from their playing style. The exact kind of risk that is required to produce this level of entertainment. At the same time, the quality of the league is so high that top teams simply can’t afford to rest their best players without a real risk of dropping points. The result is fatigue. Intensity drops. And on top of that, teams are forced to play smarter and manage their energy just to give themselves any chance of competing with teams like Bayern and PSG in the Champions League come April/May. This season, they haven’t stood a chance.
Telegraph Football@TeleFootball

Paris St-Germain and Bayern Munich produced a Champions League shock and awe thriller at Parc des Princes on Tuesday which begged the question: Why can’t the Premier League provide such entertainment? 🤔 @thomgibbs has some theories ⤵️ telegraph.co.uk/football/2026/…

@AFCPet I am old enough to remember when the Argument has been "the likes of PSG & Bayern dont get challenged enough domestically to compete in the later CL stages" Guess that changed now 😉 If you make it to the final, you will have plenty of rest before that ...

@Lee__1407 @TBLCFC Still the spending power between bayern and bottom half of their league is night and day, hence the diff in quality is massive. Meanwhile a promoted team in prem could spent 100+mil on a window while giving 50k-100k wages per week easily lol.
