1/3 Am devastated to hear that my old boss Tony Butler has passed away. Tony gave me my job at BRMB for which i will always be grateful. I am so glad many years later I got the chance to repay him by inviting him to host the phone in with me.

This made me laugh. The stories about Butler, sometimes unbelievable now, were all true.

Mad day yesterday, the most intense media attention I’ve ever seen - following our appointment of Hannah Dingley as @FGRFC_Official's interim Head Coach. It all happened on the day of our first preseason friendly game and afterwards we had a press conference - I felt at times like I was in an episode of Ted Lasso - and told them that.   We knew this appointment was a first but had no idea just how much of an impact it would have, on the media. I reckon that means we’ve done a good thing, even though it was incidental (Hannah was the most qualified for the role at our club) - this media attention tells me just how big a barrier there has been on women coaching in the men’s game. Not anymore, the lid is off. And that’s the (bigger) impact we can’t yet see, on the girls and women watching this, either in football or not - who will now think, why not me? #WeAreFGR
