1/5 The current turmoil we are seeing reinforces the importance of getting the basics right. Distributed ledgers need governance that is responsible, decentralized, and transparent. Governance should be by well-known, diverse parties acting as checks and balances on each other.

Hello HBARbarians We are deeply saddened to share the news that Elisabeth, the founder of @hellofuturebuzz, the organiser of our Hello Future IRL events, has passed away. She touched many lives with her vision and passion. She helped shape this ecosystem with all her great interactions, ideas, knowledge, love and aspirations. Elisabeth was a rock in the Hedera community with a well established reputation and commitment to always improving the ecosystem and the lives of those around her. Elisabeth was kind, soft hearted, caring, loving, trusted, thoughtful, selfless, a visionary, and a strong independent woman. "Good people doing good" - this is what she lived by. We are embarking on a new phase in the @Hedera journey. Following many years of working together, Chief Marketing Officer @chasker and SVP of Communications @zenobiaZAG will be moving on from @SwirldsLabs next month. Their tireless work - both as leaders and members of our incredible community - has been integral in advancing the network as they navigated a complicated ecosystem of players to tell the stories that needed to be told. When we designed the @Hedera network, we wanted to do things differently for #web3. The issue of receiving unwanted tokens is an unfortunate, yet expected, result of the lack of inflow controls for wallets and accounts on most public blockchains. For #tokenization to reach its true potential, users must have the ability to control the limits of how they want to interact with their respective network. That’s why we implemented Token Associations and Receiver Signature capabilities on #Hedera - providing secure and flexible safeguards against unwanted spam and crypto dusting attacks for both enterprises and individuals alike.
