@RutgersRant a bit frustrated that Rutgers hasn't had a signature win against a ranked team. I really think the rest of this season and next season is a make or break it year for the program. It's time for team to take a step forward.

@JJetsX Definitely not had a head coach. Though his bravado was interesting and entertaining, the organization failed to develop Sanchez and realized on some of the great picks from the previous regime. If the next hc wanted him as dc I would be open to it.

@RutgersRant for me "there" is that Rutgers established itself as a mid tier B1G team that can upset top tier B1G teams when those team are having a down year consistently. Also ensuring that a down year would be a .500 season.

Not sure fans realize how good @ChrisNwuli is. Outstanding fit for @RutgersMBB. Chose #Rutgers over Arizona State, Louisville and Ohio State among others. Huge pick up.

@SamWillard93 Injuries can't be an excuse for the team to have the floor shattered. UCLA was also riddled with injuries. I wasn't expecting the same level of defense if the starters were healthy, but there was a clear issues in tackling every game this season even with the starters.

@RutgersRant if the team misses a bowel game this year and finish below .500 will Rutgers fire Greg schiano? If this happens it should be a serious consideration.

@jonnew I do agree NIL money is a big factor for the program but, Schiano always prided himself in getting lesser players to perform at a higher level. He has for the senior starters; the problem lies with the next players up. They are not ready to play. this big dropoff is unacceptable

That is changing but will take time. Coaching is not the issue. The next phase of college athletics as all about student athlete compensation, retention acquisition.

A long ride home to Virginia gives one a lot of time to think and talk to folks. Here’s my take on where things are and it starts with history and perspective

@BarstoolRU Tbh Schiano over estimated his depth in key positions. Next man up doesn't work if you don't have a player who can play. I also think that there have been coaching miscues as well in all three losses. defense regressed. The defense was supposed to be the identity of the team.

We failed today. We failed last week. We failed the week beforehand. Started off 4-0. Supposed to be a special season. Set it up great to be one. 1-5 UCLA and we lose. Inexcusable. Wtf happened to this team

Rutgers loses to UCLA 35-32 to fall to 4-3 overall & 1-3 in Big Ten play. Offense had over 400 yards w real balance. Defense had few answers, poor tackling & not enough pressure or impact plays. This was a must win game to change momentum and get back on track. RU failed.

@CFBTalkDaily Definitely agree he stabilized the program and did a good job in recruiting. However this season has shown me the team doesn't have the depth to compete against other mid tier D1 programs. Idk who could take the program out of the basement.

It’s sad to type this It might be time for new leadership Greg Schiano has done an outstanding job at stabilizing the Rutgers football program It may be time to start thinking about who can elevate and take this to the next level The gameday coaching and mistakes are inexcusable
