@RepEngland70 Full DNC still has to vote to affirm the Credentials Committee rec. The DNC will supervise the election & oversee by-laws changes that will bring the ADP into compliance with national rules. No word yet though on whether any by-laws changes happen prior to new election.

DNC just invalidated the election of Nancy Worley and Randy Kelley. The SDEC has been ordered to have new elections within 90 days and amend the by-laws. DNC will supervise election. Nancy and Randy will be allowed to serve until elections are held. #alpolitics #SDEC

Remember: it's not a done deal, but this is a huge step forward. The entire DNC has to vote on the credential committee's recommendation. That's usually a done deal, but never assume anything until the votes are counted!

After massive confusion and voting irregularities at the 2018 Alabama State Democratic Executive Committee meeting and election, the Credentials Committee of the Democratic National Committee just approved a motion to invalidate that election and hold a new one within 90 days (1)

@WarOnDumb The entire DNC still has to vote on it, but it would be extremely unusual to overturn a credentials ruling.

I was just told the DNC Credentials Committee vacated the Alabama Democratic Party’s August officer elections and will supervise a new election.

(2) under supervision of the DNC. Also, the ADP must update the rules and by-laws (in conjunction with the DNC) to follow DNC requirements. This could be a huge step forward for reforming the state party and making it an effective voice for Alabama Democrats, y'all.
