@neeratanden @ryangrim So basically, you talk about what you don’t know, without making an effort to inform yourself. And we’re supposed to take you seriously about anything? I bet you drink white Zinfandel.

@mattyglesias Well they've learned that it does no good to try to get democrats to do the right thing. So democrats have successfully imprinted upon a whole generation of young people that they will behave like Republicans. Kinda makes strategic decision-making look pretty bad on their part

I completely accept “the protests stopped precisely because Trump winning was worse for their cause” as an explanation but it makes the tactical and strategic decision-making look pretty bad.

40% of rentals in NYC are rent-stabilized (controlled). 77% of Apartments in NYC are renter-occupied. This means that about 30% of New Yorkers are structurally protected by state law from having their rents raised. It's like winning the lottery - every single month.

Last weekend, I met a guy who is living in a two-bedroom apartment at 70th and Broadway for $2380. That would cost ~$10k on the free market. So the man essentially gets $7k/month from his landlord, mandated by the state government. Rent control is why the rent is so high.

@MrWarrenHayes "it’s not nostalgia that bothers me, it’s the deliberate re-sorting of who pro wrestling is for. The opera charges what it does, in part, because it wants a certain room. The prices are the policy." THESE USED TO BE THE WRESTLING FANS!

POLITICO: Kamala Harris just gave the Democratic Party the most explicit sign yet she’ll run for president in 2028. When Rev. Al Sharpton asked directly if she'll run again, Harris replied: “Listen, I might. I might. I’m thinking about it.” She added: “I know what the job is and what it requires.” politico.com/news/2026/04/1…

My pet theory is that Dem voters are going to square the anti-semitism vs anti-current-Israeli-leadership circle by electing a Jewish guy who is vocally critical of Israel and Bibi. I’ll get tons of pushback on this right now. But let’s check in a year from now.

PA Governor Josh Shapiro: America should never allow itself to be bullied by Israel @GovernorShapiro: “America should never be led around by any other nation. It should always be about America's interests, our national security interests. We should never, ever be bullied, as maybe President Trump was, by any other world leader.” @Jason: “Why did he do it?” Gov. Shapiro: “First, Rubio went out and said he did it because if we didn't move then, Netanyahu was going to move and it was going to force our hand. Then they walked it back. He said seven or eight months ago that they destroyed their nuclear capabilities, and then came back seven or eight months later and said we had to go in because we had to destroy their nuclear capabilities. Then they said it was about regime change. Well, great. I mean, we went from an 80-something-year-old Ayatollah to a 60-something-year-old Ayatollah, who by all accounts, seems to be far more hardline. I'd hardly call that successful regime change. I don't know how you answer that question because the president never answered that question. He never sat in the Oval Office and looked the American people in the eye and said, ‘This is why we're going in.’ And you know what? This isn't semantics. This isn't politics. If you don't know why you're going in, you don't know how the hell to get out.”

Elissa Slotkin hit back after Hasan Piker criticized her for going on Bill Maher's show but not his livestream. "He calls me stupid like every other week," she told our @adamwren. "What normal human being would choose to go on a show when someone calls you stupid every 10 days."
