As @Ken_Rosenthal reported the Marlins have DFA’d Pitcher Chris Paddack. A quick exit for him after being signed this offseason. Marlins feel they have better starting options and will go with them immediately.

Ramirez was getting on base more, but his defense hasn't improved much; his doubles and home runs are way down; his batting average is actually down from '24 (an archaic stat, I know) and he frustrated the team with a few base-running errors. They can't afford to continue being this bad defensively at catcher; Mack should fix that.

Marlins have interesting decision on Paddack after he's bombed here. Down 6-0 in first after Stott three-run HR. He entered with 6.11 ERA and 0-4 record. Garrett and Snelling are very likely better options. Thomas White, too, obviously. But how soon do you move a $4 M signing to bullpen or designate him? A conundrum for an organization, though you might not view it as such.
