@MarkSKrikorian Israel has historically capped the number of guest workers as a share of the population.
This is yet another reason to want Netanyahu gone. Too many grandiose plans.
English

This won't end well.
New Lines Magazine@newlinesmag
NEW: Israel is importing hundreds of thousands of foreign workers to fill jobs that locals don’t want and Palestinians can’t have. Some say it dreams of being like Dubai. But at what cost to its society? @lisang writes in @newlinesmag. newlinesmag.com/running-notes/…

@ComradeSnake First, Lee was not initially the commander of all Southern Forces. IIRC, he was not even the commander of the Army of Northern Virginia.
Second, this is probably the strategy Lee would have followed, but I don't know if it would have been more successful.
English

@JOttoPohl1 Further, I don't think Hitler and most of the high ranking Nazis were particularly concerned about the treatment of ethnic Germans in Central Europe. The Nazis were almost entirely focused on their larger political project, and every action taken was motivated by it. 3/3
English

@JOttoPohl1 There are two fundamental myths: that the Soviet Union was an antisemitic regime similar to Nazi Germany. The other is that the Bolshevik movement was dominated by Jews. Both claims contain a kernel of truth along with a great deal of exaggeration. 2/x
English

This is simply a lie. The full politburo had three Jews, Zinoviev, Kamenev, and Trotsky out of five people, the other two were Lenin and Stalin from 16 March 1921 to 3 April 1922. See the MSU website below on the composition of the politburo.

@Pepe733745533 SOCRATES SAYS same old daily lie. The Soviet politburo NEVER had a majority of Jews. NEVER. And in Stalin's Great Purge, all Jews on the politburo save one were executed, as were thousands of military officers and others.
English

@JOttoPohl1 A true statement can also be misleading.
It is true that there were a large number of Jews in the upper ranks of the early Soviet Union. It's also misleading as to the historic attitude of the Soviet Union towards Jews and Judaism.
English

@Leg_Day_223 It is refutation to the systematic claim by Jewish supremacists particularly Israelis that there was NEVER a Jewish majority in the politburo. That is a lie. There was a majority for a little over a year. It is the lying that creates anti-semitism. Jews should stop doing it.

@newstart_2024 @Ravarora1 99% percent of women, including women who have more to offer than these two would be ecstatic about dating a successful entrepreneur.

Charlize Theron went off on dating apps:
“The apps are a f... clown show. No Burning Man photos, no mirror selfies with your hand in your jean pocket, and stop telling me you’re a CEO of some vague business nobody understands. It makes my vagina close.”
She only joined because she was drunk with her girlfriends… and now she secretly enjoys the chaos while roasting everyone.
Dating apps have turned modern romance into a bizarre performance where authenticity is rare and everyone is trying way too hard.
My female friends have told me this is actually true — the constant posing, vague “entrepreneur” bios, and try-hard photos are exhausting and a huge turn-off.
What do you think — are dating apps killing genuine connection, or are they just exposing how bad we’ve become at dating?

I 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑙𝑒𝑡𝑒𝑙𝑦 forgot about the time this brotard came to the gym & straight up asked who the strongest guy was
My friend points to me so brotard asks, “How much do you lift?”
No qualifier about 𝑤ℎ𝑎𝑡 lift of course
Brotard proceeds to try to deadlift 405 no warmup
Bengal | THE Jungle’s Physio@Bengal_DPT
@Mike_Light_77 Yep trying to max out on the third time you’ve deadlifted will do that.
English

@ualogic @Drowlord101 @wil_da_beast630 Finally, innate ability determines a lifter's ceiling. Two guys who are totally deconditioned and struggling to bench press 90 lbs, will have completely different results after two or three years of proper training.
English

@ualogic @Drowlord101 @wil_da_beast630 Just based on what I have seen, most people have a lot more potential for improvement in squat and deadlift than they do in bench.
English

IQ measures intelligence like a bench press measures strength.
I.e., pretty well.
Hitchslap@Hitchslap1
Accurate.
English

@ualogic @Drowlord101 @wil_da_beast630 I personally think this underestimates the strength of novice lifters, and overestimates the strength of experienced lifters. Average guy might go from benching 155 to 235 over his lifting career.
English

@Drowlord101 @wil_da_beast630 I don't think the median male, no matter how hard he trains, could ever bench 300 lbs.
English

Some people are innately stronger and some people are innately weaker, but the whole point of bench pressing weights is to increase your capacity, and an innately weak person who exercises diligently will outperform most innately strong people who don't.
But im picking nits. Yes, a bench press is a good measure of strength.
English

@Leg_Day_223 @Drowlord101 @wil_da_beast630 I doubt, unless he did serious manual labour or sports, or had a genetic mutation, none of these is innate for an average human
English

@Drowlord101 @wil_da_beast630 Dorian Yates and "Chef" Rushton could bench press 300 lbs the first time they ever lifted weights. So yes, the bench press does measure something innate.
English

@wil_da_beast630 I dont love the analogy for a few reasons. The first being that IQ is an innate quality, while strength is acquired. And it implies (as many assert) that an IQ test measures your experience taking tests rather than intelligence.
