Proof of why I don't want Google Ads writing my ads. Here's a description it wrote for one of my accounts.
"Your House Is More than Just the Place You Spend Most of Your Time. It's Your House"
Imagine being a Sourcer, Recruiter, Business Development Rep, Account Manager, and Talent Acquisition Rep?
Welcome to the life of a 360 Agency Recruiter.
Be diligent and check your child's Halloween candy this year. I just found a predatory term sheet from a European investor where they tried to take 45% of the company and 2 board seats in the seed round shoved inside a Twix. No words.
I’ve been getting slammed with ads from a British guy named “James Blackwell” that’s doing recruiting training. Never heard of him from anyone big - anybody ever work with him?
If a prospective employer asks you for W-2s to confirm prior salary, that's a big 🚩🚩🚩
Response - "That information is confidential to the employers in question, and I'm not comfortable sharing. Thank you for your understanding and I look forward to the next steps."
@Ryanilbasso Yea our standard had been free replacement but getting redlines from large corps on 100% cash refund if turnover within 90-180d which is completely unreasonable (imo).
Creating some interesting solutions around that though
@LegacyGVL Varies client to client in my experience. Negotiations can range from a request for money back (often pro-rated), to free replacement, to credit on backfill.
I almost always include offer for a free replacement depending on how long the candidate was in the seat.
I’ve got a pet peeve of when someone mentions/tags my name in something I’m going to see anyway (email, slack, WhatsApp)
Maybe I am a boomer but I prefer for them to just use my first name
@LegacyGVL@BowTiedSalesGuy The part I care about isn't that specialized at all, however the prospects think you need to have done it on the second Tuesday in March, in Duluth, or you don't have experience
POP QUIZ
On the sales call the prospect asks:
“How much experience do you have with X?”
How do you respond?
Let me know in the comments below and I’ll share the answer later!
@BowTiedSalesGuy What do they mean by "Company like ours?"
Is that their size? Industry? Niche? If it's all of them together? Sometimes no one has done that experience, or it would be incredibly rare
@BowTiedWolfDog@BowTiedSalesGuy "How much experience do you have recruiting 10y+ data analysts from the food and bev industry in Tompkin, Minnesota?" 🙃
@BowTiedSalesGuy "Before I answer that, I'm curious what you mean by X. Are you referring to the industry? Process? Or something else?"
In my experience, prospects will as things like, "How much experience do you have implementing [niche product] in [niche industry]?"
And it's never clear
