@BostonBogey I'd like an ATH revisit on the 7th of April, International Silver Day!

Here’s some #SILJ hopium. When it last tested the support level, it ripped 53% in 24 days. A repeat of that move, assuming #silver has bottomed, would give us a revisit of ATHs on April 10th. Vaults are draining and miners remain cheap. Don’t get head-faked.

@CastlesAddict @Nostre_damus Maybe let's see. I hope the regime ends in Iran. But for now they are trying to use their strategical position to push the petro-yuan.

@LegareSimon @Nostre_damus That’s not the key asset. And I don’t really see how Iran could change that tbh. This war is pushing the gulf states towards America not away. So really it could end up strengthening it.

@CastlesAddict @Nostre_damus That's only Iran. The US has other problems too. Their key asset for the hegemony is the petrodollar, but even that Iran is challenging.

@LegareSimon @Nostre_damus Britain failed because they didn’t have the logistics to handle their large empire (not gonna be a problem in the modern era) The US would still be spending less than Russia as share of their GDP, and France was helping the US.

@rpaulblazek @RodKahx Alberta is developing its solar potential really fast, good for them. Solar is not part of equalization either. In any case, Rest of Canada does not want to depend on Quebec clean energy. You have heard of High-Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) transmission I guess ?

@LegareSimon @RodKahx Yah, ok, what about further west? Electricity is fine but it has its weaknesses. The weakness of Qubec hydro is its not sent across Canada due to transmission line aa electricity degrades over distance. Hydro is also exempt from equalization which if fundamentally unjust.

You are aware Quebec offered Ontario Clean electricity and they refused. Hydro-Quebec has then doing business with Boston and New York and has constructed the power lines to connect with these clients. It has even created a direct current line from Bay James to New York with little waste. Hydro Quebec was also the inventor of long distances ultra high-voltage alternative current transmission. They use 735 kV.

@LegareSimon @RodKahx Why doesnt Quebec sell their excess energy to the provinces west of Ontario? It's because of transmission lines which they're not willing to build to supply energy and because electricity degrades over distances.. Top that with the opposition to pipelines and its a perfect storm.

@LegareSimon @RodKahx Uh huh but you'll take the equalization payments oil ans gas provides and exempt your hydroelectricity from the calculation. You'll never stop using oil and gas regardless of your public policies.

I would support Canada becoming part of the EU. Free trade with more like sized and like minded countries would free Canada to compete in a larger more stable market. We are being seen as the world leader we are, emerging from the shadow of a bully.

France’s foreign minister Jean‑Noël Barrot envisioned that Canada could one day become a member of the EU. His comment was met with applause from the audience. Wow, I did not see that coming either! I genuinely admire Canada… they truly are our best ally. 🇪🇺🇨🇦
