@DonDavies Canada’s expected growth (GDP) rate is still positive. The Bank of Canada is the one modelling and publishing these estimates, not the PM or the Government. BoC has revised the growth rate downward, from the numbers that largely predated the Trump tariffs and wars. #cdnpoli

If Canada’s growth rates were positive, the Liberal government wouldn’t take credit……right? Of course they would. So: if economic numbers are poor, it’s NOT the Liberal government’s responsibility. If numbers are positive, it’s DUE to their brilliance. Strange accountability.

A year ago (when Mr Carney took office), we were told Canada’s growth would be 1.8%. In October it was downgraded to 1.4%. This January it fell to 1.1%. Now the Bank of Canada says it will go lower still. When will Canadians start seeing the economic growth we were promised?

@DonDavies Do you see any major industrialized countries whose economic growth estimate from a year ago is maintained and not revised downward? If not, perhaps there are forces in the world that affect us all that weren’t anticipated a year ago? 🤷‍♂️
