This week, our work-in-progress gameplay clip focuses on traversal through the Guarding Maze — a collapsed underground Celestial facility where you navigate unstable ruins and massive chasms. We appreciate all the feedback so far. Here’s a look at how traversal is coming together when the environment itself is the obstacle. WHAT YOU’RE SEEING: 👁️‍🗨️ As Jun Aslan, you’re deep beneath Lidon’s surface in the Guarding Maze, an ancient Celestial facility that didn’t collapse gracefully. Companions Tom and Phaedra navigate with you through passages where the architecture defies what should still be standing. In the background, you catch a glimpse of a Gath, a Celestial-made Changeling. 🦾 You'll see the Eruption gauntlet ability clearing livestone debris from your path. But you’re also shaping livestone itself, forging a beam across a deep chasm. Cross it carefully, or you plunge to your death. ☠️ Down here, the ruins are dangerous enough without enemies. @konfessionmk I’m convinced no one else could’ve been Jade or Kitana. They nailed it. Jade only has one fight scene but it’s choreographed so well. Tati Gabrielle can act her ass off.

Another great newcomer, Jade fans will be very pleased with her in this movie! Definitely one of the MVPS

Kitana being the Co-Lead of Mortal Kombat II was the single smartest decision they possibly could have made.

Johnny shows the perspective of an Earthrealmer who gets dragged into the tournament against his will and now has to rise to the occasion to save Earthrealm.

Pay close attention to how he decided to put an image of Jade here instead of Johnny Cage, the actual lead of the film.

@cinemaclt When I went in I thought the movie was gonna be about Cole and Johnny. Whoever the actress is who played Kitana needs to play her forever. She nailed it from start to finish. I thought everybody did a really good job even tho my expectations weren’t super high

@ThatComicFan3 I also wanna point out that the acting for Kitana, Jade, Shao Kahn and Kung Lao were really well done. Karl Urban honestly wasn’t landing as Johnny at first until almost halfway through when he fights Baraka. After that fight it’s like a switch flips and he’s FULLY Johnny Cage.

@ThatComicFan3 This was undoubtedly the best MK movie. Like it’s really not even close. Go see it. Also the replies to the original post saying nobody is in the theaters. Bro. I had to go to a 4:15 showing today bc the later showings were almost sold out. And my theater was STILL packed.
