I don't think I had fully appreciated how this works, but it's obvious now. NASA is aiming for a point in space where they know the moon will be. Like throwing to a receiver, but on a somewhat larger and faster scale.

@ThunderTheDevil This is what the comics showed better than the show. They all do, but once you lose your breath, you need to breathe. Oliver got the wind knoecked from him. Conquest exhaled kbowing he was about to breathe easy again as Mark jumped him. They completely skipped the explanation.

@blackbastion1 I read through the comics, never really forgave him. He did I think redeem himself eventually with everything he does (nowhere close yet). I think it's possible for both to be put in account and could see either arguement being made, but people were ready to forgive immediately..
