In May of 2022 Gavin Newsom announced that California had almost a $100 billion budget surplus. Six months later the news was reporting that California was facing a $25 billion deficit. "The worst outlook since the Great Recession." Faulty projections, a loss of tax revenue, and a crazy spending spree, much of which was in the form of one time giveaways to the various groups and projects now being highlighted for fraud and incompetence. Imagine the fraud that took place just during those six months in 2022.

Do this math with me regarding Gavin Newsom's income. $1.4 million yearly income. $450k in fed/state taxes $200k paid to domestic workers $150k private school tuition $200k in property taxes $20k (AT LEAST) in utilities Ok, were at $1 million. Now add $120,000/yr in mortgage payments for the Sacramento house. And $506,000/yr in mortgage payments for the new house - WHICH HIS IN-LAWS HAD TO GUARANTEE. And that's not including food, clothes, entertainment, sports for FOUR kids. Their financial disclosures don't show any large sales of assets, AND GAVIN CAN'T SELL ASSETS OUT OF HIS BLIND TRUST ANYWAY, WHICH IS WHERE THE BULK OF HIS ASSETS ARE. If the trustee sells assets, the proceeds have to remain in the trust while he's in office. And if her parents were going to give them $$... Why would they make her get a mortgage?

I say this as someone that wants to see the Islamic Republic in Iran fall… But it isn’t going to happen because of US ground forces. Among other objectives the US is creating space for the Iranian people to take over. That does not mean this will be another nation building exercise by the US. The time the Iranians have to do it is limited. I don’t say that arrogantly or with a presumption that I understand how horrible it has been for the Iranian people. I say it because it’s the truth.
