We work across the two counties of Leicestershire and Rutland recording a wide range of mammals associated with urban and rural environments.

Tails from the riverbank. This week has been mostly been about the badger who has been hanging around for ages plus a couple of otter visits and the local fox @LeicsR @PTES @EastMerciaRT @BBCSpringwatch @ChrisGPackham @BadgerTrust

Cracking video clip of a #Polecat family from this morning at #Broughton Sanctuary @Broughton_Hall near #Skipton taking on the daunting task of wall jumping. Spoiler alert - I’ve clipped the video but the final kit eventually decides to jump off the other side of the wall!

Tails from the local riverbank. Plenty of action in the past week with badgers, otters and foxes all stopping off under the willow tree @LeicsR @Mammal_Society @PTES @BBCSpringwatch

📣We have good news!🎉🐭 This week we reintroduced 10 golden-coated hazel dormice into a Bedfordshire woodland to bolster the county’s only existing population of this rare species! Part of our annual #DormouseRelease programme. Read the story 👉ptes.org/we-give-a-rare…
