Just so it’s clear. This is a 4:33 per mile pace for almost 2 hours. For the treadmill warriors out there that’s 13.1-13.2 on your treadmill (if it even goes that high)

THE GREATEST RUN IN HISTORY 🤯 Sabastian Sawe takes OVER A MINUTE off the world record in the marathon and becomes the first-ever sub-2 hour runner in an official race with a 1:59:30 victory over Yomif Kejelcha, who also breaks two hours in his debut marathon, running 1:59:41 for second. Sawe is now 4 for 4 with marathon victories. After the leaders hit halfway in 60:29, Sawe ran 59:01 FOR HIS SECOND HALF as he and Kejelcha worked together to drop third placer Jacob Kiplimo, who himself ran 2:00:28 to finish under Kelvin Kiptum’s old WR mark.

I brought nearly identical legislation to @USTFCCCA in December…it received overwhelming support.
If most U.S. athletes start school at 6 and graduate at 18, why wouldn’t eligibility align with that reality?
This keeps our athletes competitive in the system designed for them.

The NCAA is exploring a significant change to its eligibility rule, per Yahoo Sports’ @RossDellenger. Next week, an NCAA committee will discuss a new age-based standard for athlete eligibility that would grant athletes five full years of eligibility from the time of their 19th birthday or their high school graduation. No waiver requests, redshirts or exceptions will be permitted, except for a small group of outliers (those on maternity leave, military service or religious missions).
