@salmon13528 @AbbyJohnson Okay so If in my country it was legal to kill anyone, I would be justified in doing so and others shouldnt "force their beliefs on me" I know abortion is morally wrong, just as I know that killing adults is wrong, it is therefore wrong to allow others to do so.

@Lemonadeladybug @AbbyJohnson Did i say anywhere that legality should decide your morality. If you feel abortion is morally wrong, I have no issue if you don’t do it. Or if you counsel your kids / loved ones not to either. I do care that you want to force your beliefs on the world as a whole

Abortion being legal does not mean it’s okay. There have been numerous “legal” things throughout history that we look back on as being abhorrent. Abortion will be one of them.

@salmon13528 @AbbyJohnson Laws absolutely should be determined by objective morals. As I have previously stated, legality is not a good measurement for the morality of something as this would justify other great evils

@salmon13528 @AbbyJohnson You just said that abortion is okay because it is legal. You stated that the reason you think things like robbery and assault are wrong is because they are illegal

@salmon13528 @AbbyJohnson So, by your logic, morality is determined by what the masses think. This would include fgm, thr holocaust, slavery and other atrocities. Morality is based on the intrinsic value of humans, not on passing opinions

@salmon13528 @AbbyJohnson What do you think laws are based on? What would make a law banning abortion to a law banning robbery?

@salmon13528 @AbbyJohnson It's not a whataboutism, I'm illustrating that you don't actually believe people should just be allowed to do whatever they want to. Human rights must be protected, including those in the womb.

@jasmineeazj I imagine you are right if they are locked in a contract that demands they wear bikini. Surely you have some sort of evidence instead just spinning that tale out of thin air.

@salmon13528 @AbbyJohnson Well I "believe" many things are wrong and should be outlawed, as we must uphold the dignity and rights of other humans. Im sure you would agree that robery or assault is wrong and would want them banned, so you dont agree in absolute freedom to do whatever

@Lemonadeladybug @AbbyJohnson Your belief is what you think should guide others decisions. You believe you’re god and should be allowed to make decisions for others. Why is that? Your opinion doesn’t rule others

@salmon13528 @AbbyJohnson I was merely clarifying what I had stated earlier. Do you have any arguments to justify abortion, or are you just going to send meaningless replies?

@salmon13528 @AbbyJohnson No, I believe a child is alive from the moment of conception - I beleive that age is counted from birth as it would be impossible for us to determine exactly when a child is conceived. 95% of biologists believe life starts at conception as new DNA is formed.

@Lemonadeladybug @AbbyJohnson So you admit that you lied about when people think a baby is alive. Also science has never said what you say they said. Sure some do, not all

@salmon13528 @AbbyJohnson Yes, but I don't think cultural understanding has any basis when scientific evidence has shown that life begins at conception. The Romans also believed it was okay to kill babies. Does this mean that because it was a common practice that it's okay?

@Lemonadeladybug @AbbyJohnson Yes but prettty much all cultures have only considered the child after birth. You’re trying to retrofit in something that never was

@Lemonadeladybug @childofgoddess2 @AbbyJohnson SENTIENCE is an ETHICAL factor , NOT your petty ANTHROPOCENTRIC PSYCHOSIS . NO CAPACITY FOR SUFFERING - NO ETHICAL DILLEMMA , so 3/5 STFU . NATURE does not care about your APEX PREDATOR ARROGANCE , so go blubber to your GOAD about death and dying . NOT a US CITIZEN - SCREW YOU

@NonNomian @childofgoddess2 @AbbyJohnson Sentience is debated amongst scientists, there are many factors which comprise it. Babies do not gain self awareness till 9 months, yet we don't argue they are worth less than an adult due to this. Your value is based on your possibility for consciousness, not your current state

@salmon13528 @AbbyJohnson What??? I never said that, I stated that your age is determined by your birthdate as it is easier to do it this way. This is not the norm throughout history. Many cultures do not have ages or birthdays. It's a Western concept and has no bearing on when life begins.

@salmon13528 @AbbyJohnson No, I admit the date we count how old you are is your birthday. If you read my comment, I explain why. Even most pro-choicers would agree that there is some sort of term limit (usually viability), yet we don't calculate age based on this.
