My thoughts and condolences go out to the family, mates and employers of the 2 men killed yesterday mustering cattle in the Kimberley. It’s a tough industry and a close knit community. We all know people affected by this accident. I’ll be having a cold beer for them today.

Has anyone ridden the railway access road, from Kalgoorlie to Glendambo SA, about 1,500 ks. Can you get fuel at Forrest? and is there any roads or tracks you can take south off it. I’ve been on it out to Rawlinna, and it’s a great road, however fuel is a problem.

@nig_michael Some companies use contractor’s to clean up after them (sumps, earthworks, sample bags ect) this can be a good earner and you can make sure the job is done satisfactorily if you want that work.

@LenfieldFarms They are telling me that they will pay for legal advice if they want to proceed any further than drilling.

Generally what is everyone’s feeling on allowing mineral exploration on their land? Preliminary approach been made. Let them on or keep the gate shut? Experiences would be interesting right through the process.

4 started, 2 finished. Nealo & Dave made the decision at well 12 to turn around & head out through well 9. Wise decision as they were struggling and it got a hell of a lot tougher after well 12. The dunes got bigger and the sand was chopped up more by the 4x4’s.
