@livebeef@AUTOMATON_ENG You're right, they did do that. Though I don't see any mention that they encouraged the nature of the content to change for Western audiences, which is primarily what I was trying to address in my first post.
@real_irl_nigga@AUTOMATON_ENG I don't think you read the article, or if you did, you didn't understand their concerns. Reminder that this CEO of Kadokawa is the one who wanted to censor the content himself.

@Lennartz_helmam@AUTOMATON_ENG They 100% care about what the content is moron lmfao their entire thing is that they think Kadokawa's failing to capture enough of a western audience and the single greatest point of friction for that is the type of content
Get more western sales, make more money for shareholders
@livebeef@AUTOMATON_ENG Maybe you could read the article. They had no issues with the nature of the content itself; they're concerned about the amount of slop saturating the market and how they're leveraging FromSoft's publishing capacity.
@real_irl_nigga@AUTOMATON_ENG I did, I'm saying these aren't cultural activists, they don't care what the content is about, they care about how well the business is doing, and how best to benefit the shareholders who invested in it.
@heisei_ramen@AUTOMATON_ENG I'm pretty sure the article says Oasis stated that the problem with Kadokawa's model was the LACK OF creativity, relying on cheap web-novel copycats to saturate the market with slop, but what do I know?
@Lennartz_helmam@AUTOMATON_ENG I've seen and worked with MANY Japanese companies that deal with activist investors. The results are NEVER good. Destroying long term value for short term gain, which is what they want, almost always entails selling off the creativity to BlackRock. Along with everything else.
@Lennartz_helmam@AUTOMATON_ENG An activist investor is a very well established term, and no they're still pushing for the same kind of bullshit cultural activist stances but now using financial pressure to do so
@YelloJacket21@AnimeBibleVerse Really? You're reading about Solomon having sex with one of his wives without any hint of the supposed symbolism that was forced onto it by ascetic leaders who hated sex in the first place.
@Lennartz_helmam@AnimeBibleVerse Porn is not like the song of songs. Reflect on yourself and why you're so defensive in your ability to watch another man inseminate a woman that you'll never be with or even talk to.
@heisei_ramen@AUTOMATON_ENG I already said there's a difference between the two so you'd need to find evidence this is what that Oasis does before assuming they are the same type of "activism".
@Lennartz_helmam@AUTOMATON_ENG Activist investors almost ALWAYS boost cultural poison because their goal is to reach the "wider audience" as fast as possible, cash out every cent of good will, and then leave the company a flaming wreck.
@superflanke@XDEnjoyer777 It is hilarious how everyone ignores that Shiroko literally wiped out her Kivotos of its students at the very least, but because we see her cry about FTF, we just allow this beautiful dream and stuff her unspeakable past in a shoebox under the bed to maybe never bring up again.
@XDEnjoyer777 This is such a horrible tier list ngl.
Kuroko destroyed a world/her timeline. And she's on the same level as Akira the hypocritical robin hood
Saori should be the same level to Yukino. Also Makoto is too high in the list what the heck she's not worse than anyone below her here.
Blue Archive "Evil student" tier list (Global).
Niyaya isn't as bad as those others, I just put her there cause we haven't even interacted with her yet.
Put Yukino in a separate tier cause she was going on about how she's just a weapon and shit, the rest were following her.
@XDEnjoyer777@Mr_Faorry Wouldn't that mean all the other girls in "Evil, no signs of redemption" are also redeemable? You don't just fall into sadistic enjoyment at the suffering you cause and killing intent by accident.
