@TheSteinLine Make the lottery the bottom 10 teams in the league not 14. After that make it to were a team cannot pick top 4 in back to back years. You will still have some teams tank like Ind when a top player is injured, this will make it to were only 5-6 teams are tanking not half the NBA

Adam Silver says a special Board of Governors meeting will be called in May to vote on lottery reforms that go into effect for the 2026-27 season AND before this summer's upcoming draft and free agency.

@Tiller56 He got injured in Oct 24. All these reports came out in like Nov 25. He would have been done with rehab. They wanted him back and he didn’t want to play for them. He could fight for the money the union wanted him to and he chose not. He wants his release it’s pretty obvious

This does not make any sense. If he was truly still injured, he would have fought the voided money and likely got a significant injury settlement from the 49ers.

What if I told you I found out what happened between the 49ers and Brandon Aiyuk. What if I told you the reason for the 49ers and BA downfall really did have to do with him missing his rehab for his torn ACL/MCL/meniscus? What if I told you he never followed the rehab protocol for his knee like he was supposed to which left him with chronic knee instability/osteoarthritis and he will never play another down of football again. Would you believe me? You should.

@DanWolken It’s a simple way to fix it and it’s worst team picks first and you can’t protect 1st round picks. Also make the rule like baseball and you can’t pick say top 4 more then 2 years in a row. After second year you automatically move outside top 10 for the following year

I will continue to say it: The NBA thinking on tanking is completely wrong. As long as you allocate talent by draft, you will never stop tanking.
The goal should be for fewer teams to tank for the shortest amount of time possible.
The answer to that is obvious: Get rid of the lottery and draft by reverse order. The worst teams get the best players, improve and move out of tank phase.
The NBA’s wonky lottery odds has made the problem worse because you get a handful of unlucky franchises stuck in the 5-10 draft range and struggle to improve.
