So a judge is ok with a parent putting their kid out on the street. I don't think so. Removing her from the home and putting her in a juvenile facility maybe or with another relative friend is one thing. My point is that a parents job is to establish boundaries within the home. Putting a child out of home or not providing them a safe place is abuse. That is even if the child is a defiant ass -- because you probably contributed to that. I am no liberal and I raised my kids to be law abiding self sufficient adults. There was discipline in the home. We took in several kids for days or weeks who's parents didn't want to deal with them for one reason or another. They were perfectly well behaved and respectful in our home.

A father told his 14-year-old daughter to leave home after repeated instances of what he described as disrespectful behavior and her attempts to act independently as if she were already an adult. Some might see this as enforcing strict discipline, while others could argue that it’s an extreme response for a teenager. What’s your perspective? was he setting necessary boundaries, or did he go too far?
