Both solar panels and wind turbines contain significant amounts of plastic.
Where do you think plastic comes from?

Oil is the real root cause of all the geopolitical trouble. Time to go 💯 Electric.

@RussiaIsntEnemy How interesting that your geolocation is conveniently obfuscated as "Earth"

@jacobsenphoto None of that is happening, luckily. Have you checked the data recently?

CO2 is not a climate control knob. CO2 is not a pollutant. CO2 is plant food and more is good for life on earth.

@JusperMachogu Is anyone STILL gullible enough to fall for the old "CO2 is plant food" trope? 🤦 skepticalscience.com/co2-plant-food…

@latimeralder I'm sure there was a time when only 5% of the country had telephones. Did that prove phones are useless and to be jeered at and abandoned?

Iran's missile capacity is far beyond what was assumed. If Iran can strike Diego Garcia, then Europe is also within range. This is worth keeping in mind before Europeans join the war, especially as Russia may have some targets for Iran to respond to 4 years of European attacks on Russian territory with Storm Shadows and other weapons. These wars are connected and we could already be in a new World War. Now is the time for diplomacy and de-escalation.

🇷🇺Putin just said the quiet part loud
🇪🇺"Europe is lacking brains"
Brutal, But look at the timing.
-Ras Laffan offline 3-5 years
-Hormuz 4 ships in 48 hours
-Qatar LNG gone for every European buyer
-Von der Leyen no to Russian gas
And Putin's sitting on a pipeline that still works.
He doesn't need to fire a single missile at Europe.
He just needs to wait ♟️
#Germany shut its nuclear plants.
Closed its Russian pipeline.
Refused to join the coalition.
Now stares down an energy winter with no exit.
Putin didn't create this crisis.
But he's watching Europe walk straight into it with zero leverage and zero alternatives.

@BladeoftheS @DisaffectedG You didn't know about Angola?? Maybe shut up about international issues, then, you obnoxious ignoramus. Do some homework! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Foreign_i…
English

@DisaffectedG Didn't know about this one, approximately 425,000 Cuban troops between 1975-1981.
Not classed as invasion because they aided the Angolan Government rather than removing it.
Casualties - unknown, though about 2000 Cubans died.

Kiev was not the first capital of Rus’ (Russia). The first was Ladoga, followed by Novgorod. Russia uses the Cyrillic alphabet, so “Kiev” is simply the English form of «Киев». “Kyiv” emerged in 2005 as a political spelling game.
For centuries in English it was Kiev, matching the Russian pronunciation.
- In Byzantium: Kiow, Kiovia, Kyou.
- In 2005, the UN officially adopted “Kyiv” at Ukraine’s request.
- Then in 2019, the #KyivNotKiev campaign kicked off, as if changing a few letters could rewrite a millennium of history.
And there is no equivalent form like “Mosckba.” In Russian, the city is called “Moskva.”

@BenGrahamUK Trace amounts can make a big difference as medicine & poison both show. Human added CO2 builds up in the atmosphere rather than naturally cycling

While everyone fixates on the heatwave in the western U.S., Alaska, Canada, and the eastern U.S. are very cold relative to average. People seem to forget that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Fairbanks, Alaska, for instance, bottomed out at -40°F yesterday morning. That marked the 7th occurrence this month—a new record (they date back to 1904). With 31 such readings this winter, that's the 4th most on record.
I am not downplaying the heatwave out west; it's very impressive and record-shattering in many cases. But events this extreme tell us nothing about long-term climate. Even without global warming, this heatwave would still be occurring right now, and it would still be record-shattering because temperatures would only be a degree or two cooler at most. We are seeing daily and monthly records for stations being broken by five or ten degrees plus.
Drs. Cliff Mass and John Christy discussed this during the Pacific Northwest heatwave of 2021.

@redpillb0t For the less gifted in the class, Dr. Munger specifically explains why the particularly dumb "CIA did it" myth is dumb here: youtu.be/Ptt1ti63IiE?t=…

According to RFK Jr, both his uncle and father were "almost certainly" assassinated by the military-industrial complex because they wanted to "shatter the CIA into a thousand pieces and scatter it to the winds".
He argues that assassinations of prominent political figures, the Vietnam War, 9/11, and Covid have all "pushed us further down the road into a security state".
