My wife just asked me if Quinn on the Sabres was one of the brothers. To which I said, “you mean the Hughes brothers?” It’s going to be a long playoffs

Thoughts from Masters: -The Masters is a special event to be at. The vibe/energy/atmosphere is unlike any other place I’ve been to. Everyone is excited to be there, patrons are on their best behavior and it’s truly a privilege to compete there. I certainly didn’t play as well as I would have hoped but more motivation to come back and experience a masters Sunday in contention. -The course really does feel like it fits Rory so well. His high bombs off the tee and overall game lets him find much easier birdies and eagles than most of the field. He has a comfort now around this place that guys like Tiger, Jack, and Phil had. He might have 4 or 5 by the end of his career. - I just made too many simple mistakes during the week. I didn’t make any doubles but some of the “simpler” shots especially with my wedges weren’t crisp enough. Next time. -They do let guys that MC stay and practice. The club asks we hit on the right side and there were plenty golfers practicing even Jose Maria. Some dudes just love the grind and practice. -Thank you to all my followers for the support! I also hit 500k followers during the week… I think many are bots but 500k is 500k 🤷🏻‍♂️. Plenty of cool Masters theme giveaways coming up in the next couple days so stay tuned! -Hilton head and RBC coming up!

A CHRISTMAS MYSTERY On this day, December 15th, 1944, a B17 bomber from Ottawa loaded with Christmas cargo disappeared without a trace… During World War II, Ottawa’s Rockcliffe air base operated a total of six B17 Flying Fortress aircraft that were outfitted as transport “mailbirds” ferrying thousands of letters and packages between Canada and the fighting forces overseas in Europe. Most were eventually either damaged or scrapped, but one in particular, B17 Serial#9203, went mysteriously missing 81yrs ago…This is the story of Ottawa’s lost B17…

Retirement is one of the most nefarious carrots we’ve ever been sold. Somehow we were convinced that if we just grind for 40+ years while neglecting our health, our family, our calling then we’ll finally earn permission to enjoy life. It’s a manufactured idea designed to get you to trade the best years of your energy, vitality, and presence for dollars with the promise that one day, when you’re older, slower, and tired, you’ll get it all back. But reality paints a different story. I can’t tell you how many people I’ve watched work themselves into the ground, only to die within a couple of years of finally hitting that “retirement” milestone. Or couples who dream for decades about traveling the world together until they retire and immediately one becomes a full-time caregiver because the other’s health collapses. This is the dark side no one talks about: When you push off joy, purpose, relationships, health, adventure, and meaning until the final chapter of your life you often don’t get the chapter you were promised. But work isn’t the problem. Mindless sacrifice is. Humans are wired for purpose, contribution, creativity, and mission. But we were never designed to grind ourselves into dust for 40 years just to maybe, maybe, enjoy a few good ones at the end. I don’t plan on ever giving up work. But it will be on my terms. Work that aligns with my spiritual calling. Work that supports my family, not replaces them. Work that fuels my health, not destroys it. Work that coexists with joy, presence, hobbies, faith, service, and rest. You don’t need to wait until you’re 65 to start living. You don’t need to earn rest through exhaustion. You don’t need to sacrifice your health today for a future that isn’t guaranteed. Live your life fully, intentionally, and with purpose so retirement becomes optional, not a desperate escape.

Trump: "Wind is a very expensive form of energy. It's very bad for your beautiful surroundings, the plains and the valleys and the birds are dying all over the place." He then repeats his lie about China not having wind farms.

Augusta Diaries (Fri) -Looks like Augusta Diaries will continue for two more days! Super proud of how I played today. I hit the ball so solid all day and didn’t miss many shots. 2 three putts sting and speed wasn’t perfect but grinded out another 71 in really tough conditions. The wind on the back nine was no joke. It didn’t swirl as much but it was really strong. On 15 yesterday, I went for the green with a 4i, today I layed up with a 4i -Watching this tournament for yrs and yrs, there are shots I’ve seen many times hit by my heroes growing up. To be playing this golf course and executing those exact shots I grew up watching, man that feeling is so so awesome. Augusta brings out all the emotions. -That being said, this course with that much wind on this back nine is as stressful as it gets. There are times when I get excited and I’m like let’s go get a birdie when it’s a funnel pin like 8,9,14… but then there are times when I’m like omg, how will I get a GIR and hope for a birdie putt like holes 11,12,15,16. One wrong move and I’m going home for the weekend. Shane Lowry mentioned how pumped he is to get here and then when you play the tournament, you realize how brutally demanding this place can be haha. -Feeling lots of gratitude today. 6 yrs ago I played terrible, knew I was going to play terrible, and was super down on my game. I’m in a much better place with my game, physically and mentally, and I have many people who believed in me and helped me along to thank for that. That being said, why not us??? Let’s go have ourselves a weekend!
