A burst sends multiple 7.62×54mmR rounds downrange, each around 147–182 grains depending on the ammunition, creating a fleeting wall of steel against a fast-moving target. The rounds themselves are designed for accuracy, but automatic fire creates dispersion and a beaten zone, increasing the chance of intercepting such a small, fast target. Hitting an FPV drone like this is an exceptional shot.

This isn’t easy. A Ukrainian soldier calmly uses a PKM machine gun to successfully shoot down a Russian FPV drone.
