@doufous @healsgoodjack I was actually born in Germany and lived in Cyprus from age 6 until I was 9. I like having a mixed accent, its always a conversation starter and feel lucky to have had the childhood I had. Still 100% Scottish though 😁

@Leobaby08 @healsgoodjack Same,father was in RAF,lived in Germany,Singapore & London,came back to Bannockburn with English accent,now have a Scottish accent no one understands due to all the different accents in it.I never let the comments bother me when we returned to Bannockburn,as I knew what I was.

Scottish but grew up in England so have an English accent. Just experienced my first (but to be excepted) racism from a @ScottishFA supporter “wrong accent to be supporting this team” … Just want to enjoy watching my Country. Why should I be subjected to abuse for having an English accent, I am Scottish and that’s all that should matter.

@healsgoodjack I get it from my own kids! My mum and dad (Scottish) were both in the RAF so I lived in England until I was 14, but am 100% Scottish. My kids say I have an English accent and make fun of it all the time 🤣 The English think I sound Scottish now though

For clarification and to save re-typing multiple times. I was stood with my Mrs boarding the Boston - Miami flight in my Scotland top. A stranger told me “wrong accent to support this team” when I explained I am indeed Scottish I was told “Your parents are traitors, you’ve been away too long to be following us”.

My 2 worlds have collided, been following a journalist from Worcester (Mass) who is a huge part of a crazy trial I followed over there, who named himself after the Turtleboy statue. My fellow Scots have found it and 'coned it' 🤣🤣 @DoctorTurtleboy #freeturtleboy
