In other words, what feels obvious to you. To the people writing skaldic poetry, many of the metaphors they included and the symbolism used were "common sense". Common sense is culturally conditioned. Nonsense is a statement or narrative that contains no internal coherence, no symbolic structure, no intended meaning, or no interpretable pattern. Mythology is not this, and you are ignorantly presuming it is just because the lack cultural understanding.
