@king_pearxe I will trust a pharmacist’s judgement on drug prescription ten time over a doctor. If you’re smart you’d do the same. Funny how "Nigerian Doctors" are always the victim, how can everybody be fighting you, even patients?

A medical doctor will write out a prescription, and a pharmacist will refuse to give it. A medical doctor will write out tests and investigations, and a medical lab scientist will refuse to do it saying it's too many tests for one person. A nurse will come out and tell a neurosurgeon That hope it's not this brain he uses to cross the road. Once you're a medical doctor in Nigeria you're already in trouble

For the first time in all my years of being a doctor, a patient asked me " How's your day being? How are you and how are you managing?" It really hit me, I realised that when I see patients, I enter into this zen space where I switch off being normal. It really touched me.

@Amobbss You need to see begging, the nephrologist said he will not see that patient ever again and he stuck to his word. The consultant later became the CMD of an FMC but i still give respect to the guy, a no nonsense but very nice guy

@Amobbss During my nephrology posting, i joined the consultant to perform ward rounds. One of the patients insulted us as we were reviewing him. We were on patient 11 out of 23, post call & tired. I was so angry. The consultant simply tore the patients folder into bits & moved to the next

As a HO then once a patient raises their voice even a little bit and is rude I stop attending and call hospital security because it can go left very fucking quickly Especially being a woman Many instances I’ve been scared a patients relative will be aggressive. We shouldn’t be living like this

Then in February 2013, one week after the Francis Report into Mid Staffs landed without a single person being held accountable for hundreds of deaths, Gary Walker had had enough.
