Medical Laboratory Science in Ghana has moved far beyond the outdated perception of “bench assistants” waiting for physicians to interpret their work. The profession now includes MLSD holders, fellows, specialists, MSc and PhD-trained professionals with deep expertise in diagnostics, clinical interpretation, molecular medicine, quality systems, and laboratory leadership.
While Medical Laboratory Scientists spend years studying laboratory medicine directly and continuously, some now want the public to believe that a person who studied general medicine first and later specialized automatically becomes superior in all aspects of laboratory practice. Interesting logic.

For the past week your father has been harassing my family and showing up at my Lagos residence unannounced, with threats about taking my away son, again.
Now I get a call from the Lagos State Ministry of Justice Public defender, social services department that you filled, yet another false petition accusing my sister of forcefully taking my son from you, when in fact you left him on his sick bed unattended with no adult supervision, because “you went to the market” but filled such petition, even tho you know he was taken to our family hospital, treated and has been spending time with me? Just like you falsely accused my sister in London to the UK’s social services of trying to take our son from you too? Which was again disproved.
You asked to spend time with him a few days to his birthday today at 9am on WhatsApp. I responded by 2pm today that he can be dropped off to you tomorrow if you can confirm if that works. But you were at the Lagos state ministry by 4pm filling a false petition, damm!
My boy is not even officially British yet, I still have to give that to him in a few months, yet your family keeps trying to take advantage of him, first to emotionally blackmail me into giving in, then for your visa sake, and even now, wants to try and use him again, and again, and again!
It’s okay for you to enjoy self-destruction, but dragging my boy to forcefully remain with you in Lagos and forfeit his life in the Uk and dual citizenship is a deep level of reckless wickedness for a child you claim to love, yet steady putting in harms way.

@MrEazi105419 @oluebubewrites Sense long departed from you, keep imbibing harmful narratives from social media. It'll soon consume you.

@oluebubewrites And yet the family he's hustling for, might still betray him tomorrow. Especially the woman he calls his wife.
I sometimes wish that good people only end up with good people, while the bad ends with their like. But one would ask, where's the balance then 🤷🏻♀️?

The Uber Driver That Picked Me This Morning Completely Ruined My Mood. 🥲
I entered his car and the first thing I noticed was how unusually quiet he was. No music, No small talk. Nothing.
Halfway into the trip, his phone rang through the car speaker.
“Daddy, mummy said we should ask if you’re coming home today because there’s no food again.”
The little girl’s voice was so innocent. The man paused for like 5 seconds before replying softly, “I’ll bring something.”
But immediately he ended the call, I saw him wipe his face quickly.
That was when I noticed the empty pack of cabin biscuits and sachet water beside him.
This man had probably not eaten too. The rest of the ride became uncomfortable for me because while I was complaining internally about Abuja traffic, somebody’s father was driving around hungry trying to save his family from embarrassment.
When we got to my destination, the trip was 4,700. I gave him 20k.
The way he turned immediately and stared at me ehn… You know that look people give when life has humbled them too much to even express gratitude properly?
That look broke me. It’s just so sad that a lot of people are going through a lot in this Tinubu economy.

Tokunbo Wahab @tokunbo_wahab got me the UN invite to COP30 in Belém, Brazil
Last year, I told one of my SSA friends in Lagos that I would love to attend COP30 in Belém, Brazil. He assured me he would make it happen.
Two days later, while we were coronating the Olubadan, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, I received a video call from him. At the other end was none other than Tokunbo Wahab.
I immediately said, “Oga mi Sir.”
His response was simple: “Send your data page, we will try and push it so you can be one of the country’s delegates.”
I was genuinely happy. I called my SSA friend back and said, “Ma luwe lo”, our usual slang meaning “continue swimming.”
A week later, TW linked me up with one of his assistants and, as they say, the rest is history. I got officially invited by the United Nations Climate Change Conference Committee, and the invitation letter was eventually used for my Brazil visa.
I was honestly surprised by such kindness from someone I had not even interacted much with personally.
After securing the visa and invitation letter, I spoke with my principal and AO, and they graciously sorted out my flight, accommodation, and even “lively” money.
Today is Tokunbo Wahab’s birthday, and I am deeply grateful for the kindness and support he showed me. May Almighty God continue to bless and elevate him, Sir.
And shoutout to Wale Ajetunmobi — na man you be.
