@duuppy @peterfoozx majority of these mineplex game modes would not be fun in 1.21. the whole reason everyone is coming back is for how it used to be, changing it would be a mistake and they would lose their entire core audience.

Valve has been hit by yet another class action lawsuit in the Netherlands, this time from Consumer Competition Claims (CCC).
The CCC claims that Valve holds a dominant position in the market, estimated at around 85%, and is breaching competition law through so-called "Most Favoured Nation" clauses. They argue that Valve’s 30 percent cut on all game sales is too high and reflects monopolistic behaviour. Dutch consumers have suffered total damages of more than €220 million. Source: GameClaim

@nvdjas Sony owns the IP, they went with their in house team vs the original developers, who quite frankly haven’t repeated the success of the original despite many attempts at it with the dark pictures. This looks leagues better graphically than anything supermassive has done

Is this the "fair competition" praised by recent articles?
If a store with dominant market share taking a 30% cut can bully developers into not passing on savings to customers on competing stores with lower fees, then competition doesn't stand a chance.

Newly revealed court documents from an ongoing antitrust lawsuit claim that Valve once threatened to remove Rainbow Six Siege from Steam after Ubisoft tried selling the game at a lower price on its own storefront, Uplay. According to the reports, Ubisoft introduced a cheaper “Starter Pack” version of Rainbow Six Siege outside of Steam. Valve allegedly warned Ubisoft that the game could be removed from Steam if the pricing difference wasn’t addressed. Ubisoft changed course, and the game remained on the platform.

Everyone’s being too harsh here. There has been a significant rise in the cost of components that Steam customer spending ultimately funds, and economic trends have created severe disruptions in the component parts supply chain for megayachts.
