You're selling your R1.5m apartment at a loss for the same price you paid for it 4 years ago, while your neighbour is selling theirs for R1.2 million. Developers come with no payment for 6 months and free Smeg appliances.

Yesterday, we removed illegal structures attached to a church building in Small Street during our by-law enforcement operation. Today, we returned to investigate what was happening inside the building and discovered that shops were operating from the church basement. This demonstrates the level of lawlessness and illegal occupation taking place in parts of our inner city.
