@TaintlessRed Do you think the 4 4 2 system could still work against a low block? My thinking would be that if your full backs are getting forward on attack and creating width, you would be drawing their full backs / CB wide, thereby creating some spaces between to exploit.

It's not a given that we will always play the 442/3412 system. Especially if there's injuries (e.g. no pressure to try to get Isak in since he's injured). As Slot himself highlighted Frankfurt don't play a deepblock like many of the teams we've had issues with do. Brentford do.

Slot is an independent thinker. Thousands of journalists and countless millions of LFC fans with their ideas of what team & system was needed after 4 defeats and not a single one would've picked 2 CFs with Wirtz RM in a 442 becoming 3412 in possession with Wirtz in a free role.
