Gorgeous Açaí, 6 years old, a Blue Staffie boy with personality & depth…but his shine ✨ was extinguished with a 💉of pentobarbital…did he get a last meal or a walk before his heart stopped, his last breath in a room full of strangers….🌌🌈

Beautiful Barbara, a 1 year old girl surrendered by her human…the betrayal & grief was too much for her…she growled & rebelled against the kill pound staff, so they killed another healthy puppy…🌌🌈

Under the proposed CGT changes, the effective tax rate on a direct share portfolio could rise from 44% to 70% because inflation adjusted losses can’t offset gains unless shares fall in nominal dollar terms.
That means portfolios with a few big winners and lots of average performers (which is how most real world portfolios behave), get hit hardest.
The result is that direct share investing becomes much less attractive than ETFs and pooled investment structures for most Australians, far more so than Treasury’s modelling appears to assume. blog.stockspot.com.au/why-the-propos…

🐾Mustard is abt out of chances, listed many times now. 2nd time at ACC, 1st time found running loose in a park w/ drunk owner. This time owner was arrested early April & Mustard, 2 cats & 2 turtles were left alone in the apt over 20 days. Mustard is now looking for a better owner. Cute, neutered, young & healthy. 🐾5-y/o Phantom arrived w/ an injured front leg early May; scanned chip+. There is a vague report Phantom was in a conflict w/ another dog outside apt bldg. Initially aloof, Phantom now shows a softer side w/ familiar staff, greeting w/ loose wiggly body, accepting treats & enjoying attn. Earned 2nd best behavior rating, looking to be a solo pet.
