Following the discovery of a near-complete carnyx at an Iron Age hoard in west Norfolk, we hear a demonstration from trombone player Professor John Kerry. These animal-headed bronze instruments were used by Celtic tribes across Europe to inspire warriors into battle.

Mick Tickell was terrific &the choice of music was briiliant & diverse. The only two were the sheep who remained stubbornly silent and the RAF who failed to oblige with a deafening flypast.
