@joshxhowie @kieran_andrieu It is easy to refute. Ask ChatGPT, “in the 19th century, what were the inhabitants of the current state of Israel called?” ChatGPT answers: Geographically, the area was often called “Palestine”. People might be described as “of Palestine.”

Fun fact. Palestinians weren’t called Palestinians until 1968. Bonus fun fact. Before that, Palestinians meant Jews.

@MaxNordau You reveal yourself as an ethical barbarian. I pity so many of my fellow Jews, who cannot see what is obvious to the rest of the world. You call yourself a “genocide expert“, yet you are in opposition to the large majority of actual genocide experts when it comes to Israel.

There is no rule that says that you are forbidden from defeating an enemy that has inferior technology. You are under no obligation to roll over and die just because genocidal savages (Gazans) lack the means to do what they are trying to do.

@BinsaeedRashid And I misreading? The post indicates that Iran has indicated in advance how they would RESPOND to an American attack on their POWER GRID, the destruction of which would obviously harm millions of Iranian civilians. So they’re saying “You hurt our civilians, we’ll hurt yours.”

@mikekarnat @DA_Stockman Were you one of the spies? I heard several of the embassy employees were actually spies. Books on the CIA indicate this is commonplace.

In 1984 the U.S. State Department declared Iran as the leading state sponsor of terrorism. This murderous tyrannical regime has inflicted a terrible toll on others including its own people. The list below details some of the crimes inflicted on us. One not listed is the first takeover of the U.S. Embassy in Tehran on Feb 14, 1979. For four months the Revolutionary Guard and Fedayeen occupied the Embassy compound humiliating the staff and looting it. I remember it well. I was there.

THREE EASY PIECES, REDUX. The 47-Year War Between Iran and the Washington War Party started in 1979 when about 400 religious students in Tehran took the US Embassy hostage in retaliation for Jimmy Carter's offering sanctuary to the overthrown Shah. Their demands were reasonable and could have easily been complied with, but the war-mongers on the banks of the Potomac said nope: 1) return the Shah to face justice in Iran for his 26-years rein of larceny and tyranny against the people of Iran; 2) return about $40 billion of Iranian off-shore wealth that had been frozen by Washington; 3) make an apology for the 1953 CIA coup which overthrew Iran's democracy. Reasonable. Easy Peazy. Now, after 47 years of unnecessary conflict, death and destruction on both sides, the new Ayatollah has also made three reasonable, Easy Peazy demands on Washington: 1) get all US military bases and military capacity out of the middle east; 2) lift Washington's brutal economic warfare and sanctions against Iran; 3) pay reparations for Washington wanton destruction of Iran during the last three weeks. As we said, reasonable. Easy Peazy. And totally compatible with a true America First national security policy. Unfortunately, even Jimmy Carter---a rational man of goodwill---blew the chance. Obviously, the chance that the current Oval Office blowhard will do the right thing is somewhere between slim and none: Sayyed Khamenei outlined three concrete demands, each with a defined timeline: a rapid U.S. military withdrawal from the Middle East, a full rollback of sanctions within 60 days, and long-term financial compensation for economic damages.

@MaxNordau So all of those first world doctors and surgeons – from the US, Canada, UK, etc. – who said they daily saw the bodies of children killed by IDF snipers with head shots… They were all lying?! Who would’ve thought?

Once again for emphasis: The "most documented genocide of all time" has zero video evidence of IDF soldiers ever shooting a single child. Because it never happened. It's entirely Mandela effect.

Shocking footage from this evening of a ballistic missile striking the city of Dimona in southern Israel. Home to 40,000 residents, a direct hit on a civilian neighborhood is a war crime! I’m furious that world leaders still refuse to stand up and call out Iran. When Israel defends itself, every UN body goes crazy — cheered on by hypocritical Western nations.

@wil_da_beast630 Reports from B’Tselem, UN experts, PCHR, CPJ, BBC, Al Jazeera document widespread and systematic sexual violence — including rape, anal penetration, genital beatings, forced nudity, threats of rape, & dog assaults— against Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons. Include those?

No. No. We are NOT doing "Why do middle class Jews keep threatening Hamas with sexual violence?" I looked at this. There have been nine or whatever gross incidents. But Hamas did 7 October and is the majority party in these villages. Think "epidemic of white-on-Black crime in USA...why?!!!"
CNN International@cnni

Israeli settlers have increasingly used violence against Palestinians in a bid to drive them from their homes in the occupied West Bank. But sexual assault appears to be a new weapon in these settlers’ arsenal of intimidation, pointing to a troubling new level of violence. cnn.it/4du8vj6

@GadSaad I wonder if the Iranian leaders make the distinction between American civil institutions like universities and the American government. You know, that fundamental American distinction.

@manda_lani @arnondeg That’s not the point. The point is it can be exacerbated or ameliorated. Conducting a genocide and killing tens of thousands of children tends to exacerbate it.

No. Zionism is not politically responsible for antisemitism any more than American nationalism is responsible for harm or bigotry experienced by civilian Americans from people who oppose the policies of the US government. Zionism is a national movement, nations do crappy things.
David Austin Walsh@DavidAstinWalsh

One thing I want to make clear is that I absolutely condemn the normalization of antisemitism across the political spectrum in this country but I also hold Zionism politically responsible *for* it.

A new @HarvardJews report finds Jewish enrollment at @Harvard is now 7%, roughly half what it was a decade ago and down from about 25% in the late 20th century. The trend isn’t confined to the Ivies, or even to academia. Across publishing, media, and cultural institutions, Jews are quietly disappearing from spaces they once helped build. For Tablet, Jacob Savage wrote about this systemic decline, unfolding quietly across America.
